Read moreIt was like a great random discovery when we saw it from afar. A gigantic blue water lake surrounded by the mountains!! The view was truly astounding.
BUT I wish I had read the other reviewer’s comment about the leeches before we got into the water.... it is TRUE!!!! The water was full of algae but we still got in up to our waist to cool off the heat. But guess what.... we found tiny LEECHES stuck on our feet and ankles about 10-15 of them at least...!!! Read moreThis place is a scam if you want a view of the pyramids. Before paying the $12 entrance fee, we clearly explained the reason for our visit (to have the best view of the pyramids - we saw the view before on a previous drive and wanted a close up view). We searched high and low for the viewpoint that the lady described to us, but there was absolutely no view. When we went back to clarify the directions, she told us there was no viewpoint of the pyramids and that the only view was by boat at a different entrance (where we would have to pay another $12). Do not come here for any good views of the pyramids, but if you enjoy a small, dirty beach then by all means check...
