With an optimistic outlook my two small children and I headed out to experience this New to Us farm. I didn't really know what to expect but was going because a friend had shared a link to a post by Miller Farms to come get "5 bags of veggies for $20". When I got there the counter guy told me it was going to be $60 ($20 PER PERSON). When I pulled up the ad posted by Miller Farms he just discounted it and said that's not how they do things there. Then I got passed off to another guy who didn't know what to say to the evidence I was showing him so he Hollered across the yard at the owner Kris to "Come take care of this one" acting as if I was being a nuisance. Well that wasn't very pleasant. But for the 3rd time I showed the post by Miller farms to Kris explaining that I thought I was getting a product - the 5 bags for $20 and that the post mentioned nothing of paying for a service. Kris was very curt & rude. She said that everyone who knows them knows how they run. I explained back that I didn't know and that I was totally going off the post on their page. Instead of trying to be understanding and say something like "I can see how that came across", she basically treated me like I was an unwelcome pest keeping her from her business. She was caustic. I was trying to remain calm in her very negative presence. Kris didn't care a lick that I only had brought the $20 I was expecting to spend on the "deal" they had posted for 5 bags of veggies (edited online this morning to read correctly $20 per person). So after reflecting for a moment I ended with "Well, I only have this $20, but I don't think I'll be coming back". It was an honest statement given that I had taken the time to share how their advertising came across -most businesses appreciate hearing honest feedback- and that instead of being kind and understanding she basically chewed me up, spit me out, and ground me into the soil with her heal. Her response to me saying I wouldn't come back? Yelling. Yep the woman yelled at me! I cocked my head and said "You are seriously yelling at me? A potential customer? How rude is that?" Kris growled back that my saying I wasn't coming back was rude. Totally stunned at a grown woman who runs a business acting like this. I calmly responded "Well if that is how you want to run your business, your call". And I walked away. Don't care if their produce is a fantastic deal or not. Won't ever EVER support a business where the owners walk on other people to get where they want to go. A little compassion for mankind...

We always shop with Miller Farms at our local farmers market (previously Pearl St Denver and now Westminster), so I decided visiting their farm and picking our own produce would be fun. I have been on 2 separate occasions now with 2 different people and had different experiences both times. Both visits have been around lunchtime during the week days. The first visit ended up only being my mom and I on a trailer which went very quickly from beginning to end. Then the second trip, we were grouped with a school of toddlers and some other families which took 3+ hours.

Its a bit confusing upon arrival as to where you go to pay as they also have a farm stand set up that’s covered. Once you pay, you then follow the yellow brick road to the end where you get on the trailer and they take you around the field. Each stop has multiple different produce to pick. They dig up the carrots and potatoes for you then you just pick up what you want. Everything else can be picked from the plants and there’s a ton of variety in the fields, from corn to peppers to cabbage to squash, etc. And there are also tons of Zinnias. I believe, they only take cash and you receive 4-10lb bags to fill. The value of produce you receive is worth the money and labor and its a fun experience. There is a lot of walking and a large step to get onto the trailers so be mindful if you have elderly with you. You are on and off the trailer multiple times throughout your visit.

Unfortunately, if you don’t know how to pick something or where to find it, the guys driving the tractors aren’t very helpful as they don’t speak much English. And the ladies taking your payment aren’t very friendly, which seems odd to me as they should be grateful people are supporting their family business and be more welcoming to their community that is...

It is false advertisement to say "pay what you want" or that they take donations, when that is not the case! They only sell a wagon full at $40 , that is upsetting to families with lil ones who go in thinking that maybe they can get a few pumpkins for their children at a decent price , especially for families who are on a budget . The kids get upset that they can't get the pumkins they picked without their parents paying $40 that they may not have . Ita sad to use false advertisement to get families there with hopes being able to afford it in the first place ( IN RESPONSE TO THE REPLY TO MY REVIEW...THE MAN DID NOT GIVE ANYOTHER OPTIONS , HAD HE STATED THAT WE COULD PAY FOR JUST THE FEW PUMKINS INDIVUALLY WE WOULD HAVE..HENCE THE REVIEW .. HE SAID IT WAS 40 BUT THAT HED BE NICE AND CHARGE 20 . I ACTUALLY PUT BACK THE 2 PUMKINS I HAD IN MY WAGON BECAUSE I WASNT GOING TO PAY EVEN 20 FOR 2 LITTLE PUMKINS. MY SON AND HIS FAMILY HAD 3 PUMKINS IN THEIR WAGON ALL TINY AS THEY HAD NEEDED THAT PARTICULAR SIZE FOR A REASON . HAD THERE BEEN ANYOTHER OPTION PROVIDED THERE WOULD HAVE BEEN NO REVIEW AFTER SEEING MY LITTLE ONE SAD AR HAVING TO PUT HIS PUMKIN BACK . IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH EBT, SINCE ITS A RUDE ASSUMPTION THAT ANYONE THAT WONT PAY 10-155 FOR A TINY PUMKIN IS ON GOVERNMENT ASSISTANCE, BUT THE DISAPPOINTMENT BECAUSE I AM NOT PAYING THAT MUCH FOR A TINY PUMKIN . WE WERE NOT TRYING TO GET A PUMKIN FOR DIRT CHEAP BUT ITS THE PRINCIPLE. ALSO ID LIKE TO UNDERSTAND HOW PAY WHAT YOUD LIKE MEANS ANYTHING OTHER OR WHERE THAT SIGN SPECIFIES WHAT YOU ARE SAYING IT MEANS? THE POINT IS DEFINITELY BEINH...
