Conner Prairie is a captivating outdoor museum located in Fishers, Indiana, that takes visitors on an immersive journey into the past. With its interactive exhibits, historical reenactments, and beautiful grounds, Conner Prairie offers a unique and educational experience for visitors of all ages. The museum's focus on American history, particularly the 19th century, provides a fascinating glimpse into the lives of early settlers and pioneers. As you explore the expansive grounds, you'll encounter a variety of historical buildings and structures, each meticulously reconstructed or preserved to reflect the time period accurately. One of the highlights of Conner Prairie is the interactive nature of the exhibits. From the moment you step onto the property, you're transported back in time, engaging in hands-on activities that allow you to fully immerse yourself in the era. Whether it's churning butter, participating in a historic game, or trying your hand at traditional crafts, there's a sense of authenticity that brings history to life. The staff at Conner Prairie are knowledgeable and passionate, eager to share their expertise and engage visitors in conversations about the past. The historical interpreters, dressed in period attire, provide captivating storytelling and reenactments, giving visitors a glimpse into the challenges and triumphs of early American life. Their dedication to authenticity and attention to detail add an extra layer of authenticity to the experience. The museum also offers a range of special events and programs throughout the year, catering to different interests and age groups. From summer camps for children to themed festivals and workshops, there's always something happening at Conner Prairie. These events provide an opportunity to delve deeper into specific aspects of history and make the visit even more memorable. The grounds of Conner Prairie are well-maintained and offer a picturesque setting. The expansive green spaces, walking trails, and serene river views create a peaceful and inviting atmosphere. It's an ideal place for a leisurely stroll or a picnic, providing a welcome respite from the hustle and bustle of daily life. One aspect that could be improved at Conner Prairie is the availability of food options. While there is a small café on-site, the selection can be limited, especially for those with dietary restrictions. However, this minor inconvenience does not detract significantly from the overall experience. In summary, Conner Prairie is a remarkable destination that blends education, entertainment, and historical immersion seamlessly. Its dedication to providing an interactive and engaging experience sets it apart from traditional museums. Whether you're a history enthusiast or simply looking for a unique outing, Conner Prairie offers an enriching and enjoyable journey through time. Prepare to be transported to the past and gain a deeper appreciation for the rich history of the...

I grew up in Fishers and I've been going to Conner Prairie since 1996... It's pretty awesome!

For kids, there are lots of hands-on, interactive and immersive ways to learn, both in the mini-museum and in the actual park itself. They have stuff that caters to all age groups, from toddlers to teens. Even as an adult it's pretty cool to walk around and be immersed in the 19th century! I think the coolest thing (personally) is talking to the craftsmen, like the potter or the blacksmith- they'll sit there and actually make something while they tell you all about it.

They also have lots of seasonal/after-hours events that are definitely worth going to. The Headless Horseman festival is THE BEST. They have a less scary version of the hayride earlier in the evening for the little kids and a more-intense one later at night... Both are kid-friendly though, there isn't any gore or seriously gross stuff on either version of the hayride. The later one is just scarier because it's dark and there are more people jumping out at you and so on. There's also a puppet show by Steven's Puppet's every year (that's a classic), a showing of the old Headless Horseman cartoon, and story tellers on the grounds to tell you ghost stories and local legends.Food and craft vendors are always there in droves, the kettle corn guy is my favorite! Lots of crafts and little-kid activities too.

I just recently went to Symphony on the Prairie for the first time and it was great! There's nothing better than picnicking in the open air with some choice music. The venue is clean and family-friendly, you can pack your own food or buy from the concessions/vendors.

The only negative thing I can think of: The actors used to be really committed in a sort of annoying way- like if you asked them, "How did you communicate before cell phones?" they would say, "I've never heard of a 'cell phone', what is that?" Now they'll just answer the question, which is better imho.... The pretending not to know about modern tech gimmick was funny when I was a child but it gets annoying. I'm trying to learn something, answer my question! Haha. But like I said, they don't really do that any more, so if you ask them any questions with reference to modern things they should...

I was here for the Headless Horseman just last night(Oct 11) which is an event I have not been to in 4-5 years and purchased tickets from Vivid seats due to the event being sold out. While I was unaware of the changed policy that the actual Headless Horseman Hayride is a separate purchase now and not included in the already $26 GA ticket I purchased a more expensive ticket thinking it was a bundle with the hay ride already included. Where I draw the line for an issue is the tickets I purchased were scanned by the ticket scanner people and I was told they scanned fine and there was no issue and the tickets were for both of which I purchased. When I went to check my hay ride time they said I didn’t have a hay ride and to check with customer service which I did. I spoke with 2 people Constance Brown which I think was her name I’m not sure as she was wearing a mask and Stephanie Buchanan which those two were blaming me from the get go saying that I was told something different by the ticket scanner person and that I was scammed and they were at first not going to let me back into the event due to it being “regular admission” not event admission but they didn’t even scan my ticket they just based it off a number and did not check anything. They blamed me and offered for me to buy another ticket full price but I already did. I was spoken to very rudely as well and yelled at by the lady wearing a mask. Conner Praire needs to fix this mess because if people are getting scammed and they are with their kids and excited to bring their kids to this event just to be disappointed and talked to as if they are stupid by this lady well I’d take your children other places and take your business elsewhere. This place is ran by over educated rude people who have no people skills whatsoever and should...
