Just got off the phone with the Director, Mr. Aaron Benefield, who is an absolute wealth of information about Fitzgerald and the South. He assisted masterfully in answering questions I needed to complete a school project. He is very knowledgeable, polite and generous with his time. I was on a mission to discover family history, and the library referred me to the museum. I had no idea what I would find, but it was far beyond my expectations. The truest treasure by far was the knowledgeable director, Aaron. He took time to educate me on many aspects of Fitzgerald history and researching through the old newspapers.
