This is a very nice place to visit and experience nature.

I exercise regularly and found it really relaxing and enjoyable.

North Peninsula State Park is one of a few places where you can walk and enjoy nature with your family, friends, or even kids.

There is longer walking trails and trails that you can take shortcuts on to make the distance shorter.

I am not aware of any Florida State Parks that you can go and enjoy 😉 the outdoors and see NO PEOPLE!

I enter via a trail that begins at the Volusia County line as I walk south from my home 🏡 in Flagler County.

I am surrounded by the most amazing and beautiful sights as I stroll 🚶‍♂️ through this place.

The trail extends to the power lines where you can turn around and go back for a three mile walk in total.

Or you can proceed south to the longest route and end up at High Bridge road just east of the draw bridge.

A fantastic place for folks...

BRING BUG SPRAY!! We got a mile into the walk and turned around because we were getting swarmed by huge mosquitoes. I can’t comment as to the whole 2.5 mile walk - but the portion we walked was not on the coast. It was between the river and the coast. It was partly hard packed sand, part soft sand with beautiful tree canopies. We saw some gopher tortoise burrows and 1 gopher tortoise. Tons of beautiful butterflies followed us. There was a clean restroom in the parking lot. If it was not for the bugs though, we would have loved to finish the walk and seen the coastal views, which must’ve been...

I parked in the lot off of High Bridge Road and started the nature walk trail with my dog there. There were bathrooms and picnic table near parking lot. There were trail markers up & signs about plants/animals that are in the area. Once on the trail, it became loose sand & there were sand spurs that got in my dogs feet. I saw deer tracks but no deer. My shoes got soaking wet from humidity in grass. There were also swarms if mosquitoes. We turned back after 2/3 mile. I will go back on a less humid day in winter without the dog. Pretty...
