Stone Ashe Vineyards was recommended to my wife and I by Larry the owner of Asheville Wine Market. We bought a few bottles from him & told him the wineries we were visiting during our stay at 1900 Inn on Montford. 1900 Inn 5Stars ⭐️ on Google / 4Star Hotel / Bed & Breakfast. Have stayed here on 3 different occasions. Enough said 😁 We went to Stone Ashe on Thursday & were taken back by Absolutely breathtaking views and ambience of Stone Ashe. The place looks Brand New. No one under 21 explains that 😁 We tried everything they had & let me 1st say we couldn’t believe what we were experiencing. Coming from Richmond Virginia and having had the pleasure of experiencing most if not all the Winery's in Charlottesville VA. 2023 Wine 🍷 Region of the Year. Stone Ashe is on par with the Best Charlottesville has or exceeds them. We came back on Friday to just make sure this place was the real deal!?! We walked out with a case of 8 different wines. We had told another couple that were staying at 1900 Inn Thursday night about our experience and that we were planning on going back Friday. They actually canceled there Friday plans and went as well. We saw them Friday night and they told us they were also highly impressed and had bought a case of different wines also. If you are in the area and want to experience something Truly Special then Stone Ashe Vineyards is a must. Truly Exceptional Wines 🍷, Family Owned, 100% Estate Grown & Bottled. Over the Top Service & Impeccable Cleanliness!!!! We are looking forward to coming back...
Read moreIt goes without saying that a great tasting wine is best served over great conversations with a background cloaked in autumn leaves and crisp air. This was certainly our experience at Stone Ashe. We were greeted warmly by one of the staff who graciously set us outside near one of the many gas heaters to keep us toasty for our visit. A newly designed structure housed plenty of seating indoors and outdoors. A hint of modern barn meets rustic. Very clean and open to experience the views of the mountains and the vineyard. Our server Tia was a delight and made the wine decision very easy. There is a plentitude of offerings of their famous Bordeaux wines. and ample amount of appetizers on the the menu. We had the charcuterie of crackers, ham, cheeses and the incredible trout dip. We chose a flight of wines that let us experience the variety of boldness to subtleness of each wine. We were very honored to have the dining room manager greet us at our table and explain the wines process at Stone Ashe. No, chemicals, no additives, no food colorings, all natural and may I add, great tasting. Our first time experience will certainly not be our last. If your wine palette is white to red you have no further to look than Stone...

I was absolutely impressed with the view of the surround countryside at this location, even more impressive were the grape vines, they literally appeared to be crawling up the surrounding hillside. Being one of the most modern winery's we have ever been to, the wonderful new building smell emanates throughout, as you enjoy the tastefully decorated and very comfortable interior. Even more surprising was the very friendly staff were extremely knowledgeable of their wine and allowed us to taste prior to making a decision on a bottle. Something many vineyards do NOT provide to their customers at no additional cost.
I have never really been impressed with the NC wines until recently and even more impressed with the reds at Stone Ash, they provide some excellent full bodied reds! Of course when your stuck with such a terrific view, there is no reason to sit inside, soak in the gorgeous view outside in any of the very comfortable seating arrangements they have to offer and fear not, they actually do take the time to check on...
