Florence Township Beach on the shores of Lake Pepin and Mississippi River’s Pool 4 is a hidden gem! Situated just down a hillside in Old Frontenac, MN, you will find a large, sandy beach, beautiful historic homes and a small, gravel parking lot. Additionally, there is a boat launch, dock, picnic table and porta-potty. A very quiet area that locals use for kayaking, swimming and launching their fishing boats.

Located just down the road from Frontenac State Park, the Villa Maria and within a historically preserved neighborhood.

This location known to the locals as “Methodist Campus” (vs. Florence Township Beach) and within “Old Frontenac” (vs. Frontenac).

My family and I have been coming here for a few years or more now and this is our fave beach in the area! It's beautiful, peaceful and just a very nice experience. A great place to be for winding down and if you have a boat, there's a dock for you to use. People go out there all the time with their boats. There is a place to go to the bathroom which is very convenient because it's a 10-15 min drive to town for one. This beach is special to my fam and I. My doggo loves it too! Nice lil swimming beach with a dock, boat launch, and picnic tables...good place to spend a sunny day for picnic n swimming...has lots of shade trees on the beach...never crowded. The only negative is there is no sun on this side of the lake late day. But overall a good lil hidden away spot...
