It was very good environment and nice course structure ,, back packing camp site was very impressed. 1mile course to one way that 2miles round trip ,, elevating up hill and down hill. Recommend trail 2people or more that is not easy if think want to fast look around a course , I think it is not good for senior trailer and need to take at least 3 hours . Also recommend to wear proper trail shoes to protect ankle as well that road is not flat so it might be get injury ,,, Lake side and start zone are pretty good reception LTE 2 bar up-to 5G 2 bars but middle of course does not have reception , Recommend keep looking google map while back to parking lot . It might be passed road easier that goes to other side of lake,,, If not take enough time and rest not recommend to bring kids . If there is more sign to make a clear direction it would be good ,,,

This is an incredible lollipop style loop that takes you through some of the most amazing moss laden trees. I’d rate the trail as easy to moderate with some areas of exposed roots, but mostly clear of trip hazards. Along the most Eastern end of the trail there are a couple of side trails that take you to individual campsites with views of the lake. Dog friendly trail. Practice ā€œLeave No Traceā€ and do not leave any garbage behind. There is a pit toilet at the TH, but no trash receptacle. Happy Trails!

Siltcoos lake trailhead was a pretty nice hike! Very peaceful and tranquil. There were lots of mushrooms. At the end of the hike is the lake. That is a beautiful view. I very much appreciated finding this trail to hike. I will definitely be back. There are a couple camp grounds at the end of this trail. It is a 2 mile hike in. If you bring your camping gear in you can camp. Probably way worth it in the summer.

Edit: a note to the mushroom hunters: people like you who go off trail and compact the soil while disturbing sensitive vegetation are the worst. Shame on you for putting your selfishness above forest ecosystems that are already struggling with fragmentation, disturbance, and heavy metal/nitrogen pollution. You don't deserve any of the forests' bounty. A very nice and beautiful forested trail. It's the perfect length for a nice but mild workout :) It does have a lot of little ups and downs, so you have to be able to deal with hills and...
