Much visit place on the coast. Water rises like a fountain on high tide. Its an amazing place, you would see parking spot full and people standing by the road. So it won't be missed.

Parking is very limited, around 20 spots. So could be tricky to find a spot. There is no board that says "Sprouting Horn" on the road, instead stop when you see "Cooks Chasm" board. Hike down to the well is very easy just about 1 mile. Small slide followed by very few steps to walk down.

Get there before 1 hour of high tide to get amazing pictures. This way it gives enough time to find the right spot, settle down tripod and get ready to click pictures. Water needs to be filled first, then the next high tide will push water out like a fountain. But don't try to get close in high tide, its too dangerous.

We got there before sunrise and it was beautiful! Sound of the waves crashing into rocks and the view to ocean was cool. Don't forget to carry jacket, it would get really cold there.

We could also see Thor's well from the sam point. So the traffic here gets very busy and finding a parking will be...

My family has been visiting Oregon for many years now and we never visited Thors Well/Spouting Horn. I saw it and thought it looked cool. Unfortunately my father in law isn’t so stable on his feet so I wanted to check it out ahead of time so we could see if he would be able to participate with us while there.

The Spouting Horn/Thors Well are absolutely gorgeous to see and worth the trip. This particular stop is very popular since it is right off the highway so don’t expect to pull up at high tide and just park. Arrive earlier during high tide just in case you need to wait for a parking spot.

For those who have people in your group with accessibility needs: The path about 1/2 the way down is paved. The landing area where the paved path ends has a bench and small paved area where those who are a bit less stable on their feet can still see Thors Well/Spouting Horn. There are also stairs down to the rocks One can also see Thors well from the parking lot. One could probably see Spouting Horn from...

Cape Perpetua is a wide scenic area that includes Spouting Horn, Thor's Well and trails. We timed our visit to high tide. Spouting Horn is mesmerizing to watch. Every so often, there would be a giant wave that caused the water to spray in greater heights. In low tide, Spouting Horn won't produce much action or sound especially if viewed from the parking area. But even in low tide, there are plenty of spots to explore and it is absolutely worth it to walk down to the scenic area. I sat on a bench to enjoy various wave activities. We even saw sprays from a whale family outside of the Devil's Churn. Sure wish I had a pair of binoculars...

One of our favorite places to explore along the Oregon coast is Cape Perpetua Scenic Area, part of the @u.s.forestservice. Here you’ll find forests with towering trees next to a rocky shoreline featuring sights like Thor’s Well and Spouting Horn, plus tide pools, a visitor center and hiking trails. And perched 750 feet above the ocean is a historic stone shelter, offering an incredible 70-mile view up and down the coast. You can drive up to the top of Cape Perpetua, or hike 6.5 miles to get to this shelter. The Civilian Conservation Corps, who established a camp at Cape Perpetua in 1933, built the West Shelter as an observation post during World War II, and a coastal defense gun was installed here. The shelter is now on the National Register of Historic Places. Have you explored this area yet? #capeperpetua #centraloregon #oregonexplored #letsgoeverywhere #forestservice

Located near Cape Perpetua Scenic area is ocean anomaly as some would say. Incoming waves funnel seawater and air into the cave, building pressure until the water explodes in a geyser-like fountain 📍Spouting Horn, Oregon Coast #pnw #oregoncoast #oregon #roamtheplanet
