There is seating at the end of the Gulf side pier. There is a shorter to the right that is close to the shoreline. Wood made into pier is old & weathered but solid. Becareful for huge slivers incase you drag ur hand down it.

Read moreWent with my parents and brother to do some fishing. Well, they fished while I took photos of birds and butterflies. Plenty of parking, lots of space on the pier, though I only saw one fish caught the whole morning. Bathrooms needed lots of attention. No soap dispenser, needed cleaned, and one stall was out of toilet paper. The park has an enclosed dog park which was being used by several people. All the dogs seemed well-behaved. I saw lots of birds and at least one new butterfly so I was pretty excited. Everyone was pretty friendly except a group of men who were talking politics with plenty of insults and expletives thrown in. I am female, but even having a lady around didn't stop them from dropping "F bombs" left and right. The park is friendly for those with disabilities; a man in a wheelchair passed me on the pier. All in all, a nice place that needs a little attention. Seems like a great place to take the dog. And hopefully, you won't have a group of foul-mouthed men on the pier...
