Fort Pickens Fishing Pier — Attraction in Florida

They have taken away night fishing and reserved it only for those people that are paying for a camp sight and they took away all the funding for this site when Obama came in office and so therefore they've taken away all the lights and also made it illegal to use artificial light so it completely wipes out night fishing all together which is the greatest part about fort Pickens Pier also during the daytime for this place it is absolutely overrun when they have two other peers that they could be using they don't due to lack of funding so during the daytime it is so packed out that it is not worth fishing and tangling your lines with everyone who doesn't even know how to fish it is mostly just a spot for northern tourist to try to catch minnows these days but once upon a time it was an absolutely wonderful...

I have to be honest here, this was very disappointing. We watched a lot of videos online before coming here and it looked like a great spot. I will say there are fish for sure. We had live bait to fish with however the people on the pier are rude and fish with to many poles so lines tangle all the time. People are keeping fish under the size limit.
