I was harassed for being a veteran that suffers from PTSD, AND KICKED out of Kars park. Beware of the clickIE CREW and if you are not like them, they will harass you.
When you pull up to check in your greated by a guy blowing cigar smoke in the RV. the man with the cigar also claims the park as his, and says the rules on the answer machine are wrong and he controls the rules.
Now fast forward a few days, and ii suffer PTSD, TBI injury, and from the loss of 2 families I'm dealing with a diagnosis from emotional stress
So I went to Kars park because I felt safe there, unfortunately the troll made sure that didn't happen.
I was eating lunch on 8/18/2025, and a rude gentlemen (probably drives a white Tacoma with silly fake graphics). The phone says "US government". I answer and the guy asks "what's up with your spot" and " what's your deal"? Being extremely aggressive, and after I had that intruding phone conversation I didn't want to stay. So I drove straight to Kars park and paid in full, telling them it's my last night.
Then the next morning, and after receiving another cold shoulder from the short cigar smoker (turning his back to me, and taking his time opening the gate (troll). I decided I'm not going to let the cigar smoker, and the harassing workers effect my stay. I called and after a conversation (man doesn't know how to take constructive criticism.i was out surfing and instead of extending my stay I was told to leave by 11. Like a criminal I had to have my parents grab my truck and we drove away.
If anyone would like to see the call log from this guy, I'd be...
Read moreWe stayed here for a few weeks over Christmas and New Years. It got full but not completely. There is one dump station centrally located next to the bathrooms/showers. Near the entrince are some baseball fields with another set of bathrooms/showers. Each of them had two showers.
Two washers and two dryers were available until -9pm, not sure when they open. They don't want you to leave the machines unattended but you can plug in a laptop or watch a movie on the TV located in the same room. There is a book case of VHS tapes.
They have RV river sites and RV sites with small pavilions for $20. Then some sites with just picnic tables for $15. All the RV sites have water and electric.
Dogs must be kept on a leash. In the far back corner by the Kars conference room is an open field (RC airfield) which is where I let my dogs off leash to run around and get some energy out.
They have a kayak/canoe put in area and it's shallow for about 100 yards. Its only about 3ft deep. We fished a bit and only caught cat fish. I was told the better fishing is north up the river near some sandbars.
There is a basketball court, two playgrounds, and even a corn hole game (bring your own bags). Camp store has beer, bait, snakes, and some...
Read moreKARS Park is in the middle of "no where" which makes it a great place for fishing. There is Merritt Island and all that the Cape and Cocoa Beach has to offer which puts it in a perfect location. The store has all you need for a stay, or even anything you might have forgotten before you arrived at the park. The boat ramp is in perfect condition and it is also in the perfect location if you want to fish the Banana River or the Indian River and access to the Port Canaveral Locks to get to the ocean. The Kayak launch area is well maintained which is what I use it mainly for so I can fish the no motor zone.
For the guy (New Yorker Obviously) who complained about the nature trails being "overgrown", WHY OH WHY would you even be THINKING about spending ANY time outdoors if THIS is your "struggle". Isn't this what "nature" is supposed to be experienced as...?!?! Go to the Mariott !... and the guy who said he "wasn't impressed from the look of the guy working at the entrance".... LOL...!!!! LOL...!!!!.... GOOD GOD, PLEASE STAY AWAY!!! Go back to your "condo commando" duties.
The place is all that you are looking for if you are looking for a place to camp in the wilderness and still have all the "creature comforts" of...
