Logan River Tours — Attraction in Florida

First I will say that we have been on this tour many times enjoyed it and recommended to many others. However, I am so upset now! We took our two grandchildren ( 1 and 4) in November along with their parents. The first of January we took two grandchildren ( 3 and 5) along with their parents. We have two more grandchildren (3 and 5) coming in February. Of course we called to get a reservation and were told that they don’t take children under 5 years old. We explained that we were there in November and January with young children. We were told it is coast guard regulation and they change their rules often. She then changed the story and said they had changed their insurance two weeks ago ( after our January trip). I’m not sure what’s going on, but we feel that they just don’t want children on board. Alligators and Cooter Turtles Abundantly

Logan River Tours is an extension of the Snook Haven restaurant. Its location is off the beaten path on the Myakka River.

We have lived in Florida for nearly five (5) years and I love seeing alligators in the wild. We have done Everglades boat rides, we have went out on airboats on lakes, we have driven down lots of size roads to see them. They are out there. However, if you want a safe tour to see lots of alligators - this is it.

We saw about 20 alligators in a 90 minute tour and tons of cooter turtles sunning. The tour is on a large pontoon that holds about 20 people and goes out several times a day. Tour is $20 (tax included). I would highly recommend this tour. Nice, leisurely, quiet and...

I called last week and talked to the gentleman who does the tours, reserving four seats for today at noon. When we arrived, our name in the reservation book was crossed out and Diane told us that someone called and cancelled our trip. We told her, “No, we did not cancel it... we are here!” Evidently, a mistake was made on their end, but Diane made no apologies and could not fit us into another time slot. All were sold out. She then asked me to sign the wait list. My phone number was beside my name in the reservation book.
