Love this Hillsborough County Park. I have been here to many times to count, once with our horses, many times with my dog an without. With 5 different sections to hike, 4 for horses, 1 just for hikers. The red section is on a cattle farm. Had a whole heard of cattle walk over to check me out. I walked 20 miles this day on the 29th March, 2019 saw almost every inch of the park except the green see section in the back for hikers, I ran into standing water, knowing how low that area is I just came back toward the front. I saw 2 deer, 1 black snake, and a fox squirrel, which was very cool to see and watch. 20 miles 5 hours and 20 minutes later I was on my way home

There is a lot of fecal matter on the ground on the paths. There was a poop castle on the path. You can ride a horse on these paths. The paths are uneven with lots of trips hazards. The paths are wide. No bathrooms available. The wildlife is non-existent. I was using deer calls and everything and nothing was coming out. I didn't see any opossums, deer racoons or geese. There was one cardinal that I saw. There's no shade here. They have clearly marked paths with colors but if you are color blind then you are out of luck. You aren't allowed to ride your bike here. I prefer the Circle B Bar Reserve.

This is definitely a hidden gem of central Florida. There are a few trails all have they're own unique features. Abundance of wildlife that can be seen at the right time of day.. I find the best time tends to be in the last 2 hours of daylight. I see deer pretty much every evening walk I do, hogs only occasionally. Eagles can be seen along the power lines in the evening hours as well mainly throughout the winter and spring months. Summertime definitely be on the lookout for rattlesnakes or moccasins if you're trekking trough swampy areas.

It's garbage that they don't allow bicycles in order to protect the horses and riders. It wouldn't be a problem, if they'd just allow them on one or two routes. But other than that and the amount moisture and mud acquired when running or hiking, it's a really great park and ideal location with awesome trails! Note that signage is minimal and mostly color-coded and non-verbal, so MAKE SURE you take a map from the front entrance and make sure that someone in your party is good at mapreading and navigating from color-coded trail markers and natural landmarks ONLY, because that's usually all you have, and in a few spots you don't even have that. Cell coverage was basically nonexistent for me, which i didn't mind, but just be mindful of that in planning...

This is the most serene trail. Its also the most dangerous. The wrong maps are at the trailhead. There is literally no cell signal. Almost none of the posts have numbered markers. There are NO signs that show you the way back to the parking lot. We hiked out there, got completely turned around and had to call 911 for rescue and had to be airlifted out. THIS TRAIL WHILE CLEAR TO WALK SHOULD NOT BE USED UNLESS YOU ARE EQUIPPED WITH PROPER TRACKING DEVICES TO GET YOU OUT. Its only because of the quick thinking of the Hillsborough police and helicopter pilots that we were saved from potentially dying as it got cold and dark very quickly and we'd been walking for hours. By far, this is the...
