Manatee & Eco River Tours — Attraction in North Fort Myers

Tour leaders are husband and wife team of Captain John and Kathy. They own the boat & their enthusiasm for the manatees and environment is unsurpassed. This tour was so much more than I expected. They do not fill the boat to capacity so all riders get a chance to move about the boat comfortably & see the manatees. And boy did we see them. I've been on other tours & never saw any; this tour, I lost count. Amazing how many we saw. Kathy just loves these sea cows & her enthusiasm is contagious. This experience was wonderful! Unfortunately, there were no manatee sightings for our tour. They said they haven’t had that happen in years! We still had a great time. Captain John and Robert were both very knowledgeable of the marine life and the history of the area. They were also super passionate about the care involved with maintaining the ecosystem and wildlife. They were not just out here to disrupt wildlife in order to make another dollar. They truly cared about the environment and about sharing their knowledge. We had about 30 people on the boat and Robert took the time to shake every persons hand and thank them for coming. My girlfriend and I absolutely love this tour!! It is so worth it. It is run by a husband and wife and they both are extremely knowledgeable and are absolutely lovely! The husband is knowledgeable about the historical aspect of the area and the river system while the wife has extensive knowledge of the ecology of the area, especially the manatees!
