Marsh Beast Airboat Tours — Attraction in Florida

Our family had an amazing time on the Marsh Beast Airboat Tour! We saw so many different animals, including alligators, birds, and turtles. Our Captain "Full Throttle" Johnny was very knowledgeable and informative, and he made sure that everyone on the tour had a great time. Our party of 5 shared the boat with another family of five and there was plenty of room and the padded (and dry!) seats were very comfortable.

Conveniently located just west of Vero Beach, we saw a variety of alligators, from small juveniles to large adults. I've seen many gators as I am a resident of South Florida, but Full Throttle Johnnie got us up close and personal with the largest gator I've ever seen in the wild. We may have even seen an alligator swimming in the water, though I was too timid to reach in and pet it. The captain told us all about the alligators that live in the area, and he explained their behavior.

We also saw a variety of birds, including great blue herons, great white egrets, ospreys, and cormorants. The captain told us all about the different types of birds that live in the area, and he explained their habitats. My favorite part of the trip was learning about the osprey breeding pair that has been coming back and producing three hatchlings over the last few years.

We even saw a few turtles sunbathing on the logs. The captain told us all about the different types of turtles that live in the area, and he explained their diet. We even learned about the history of the area and this particular waterway that used to be a horse racing track before the state flooded the area in the name of conservation. Lake Garcia - super cool!

This was the first airboat tour I've been on where the headsets were active so you could here the captain speak about all the different flora and fauna we were blessed with on this wonderful trip. I highly recommend this tour to any family as long as the kids aren't too young or fragile as the boat is loud even with headsets and might be a bit scary for the snack sized little ones.

Overall, we had an amazing time on the Marsh Beast Airboat Tour. I saw so many different animals, and I learned a lot about the Blue Cypress Conservation Area. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone who is interested in seeing the wildlife of Florida.

Incredible Airboat Experience with Marsh Beast Tours!

Marsh Beast Airboat Tours in Florida delivered an unforgettable adventure! We’ve done airboat tours with other companies about three times when family visits, but this was hands-down the best by far.

Our guides, John and Jeff, were phenomenal. Their knowledge about the area’s history, alligators, and bird species made the tour not only exciting but also educational. Even though the weather was chilly and the alligators were more hidden, they worked tirelessly to make sure we spotted plenty—we saw over 10!

The boat itself was outstanding. The seats were incredibly comfortable, the headphones were new and clear, and the boat’s speed added a thrilling touch to the experience. We were nervous about possibly getting wet, but their setup kept us dry—even sitting in the front or back. Arriving was easy with lots of parking, a covered picnic table and porta potties.

Outstanding Trip! Perfect balance between exhilaration and appreciation of the environment! This trip is a must. If you want to get up close and personal with Blue Herons, Anhingas, Ospreys, Turtles, and gators young and old, this trip is must! We slowly approached a nest of 5 raptors (Ospreys). We saw a female gator near her nest and the kids had a blast when Kenny opened the boat wide open. Your captain has 25 years + wildlife experience, a great knowledge of the habitat and well versed in the life cycle of the creatures you’ll see.
