Highly recommend visiting during the Historic weekend. There are several reenactments, historically accurate costumes and ancestral members of both the Seminole community and the Florida settlers community that do fantastic recreations. Look online for the date of the battlefield weekend ahead of time. It’s only once a year. There were several vendors and lots of clean port a potties and ample parking. Bring cash, and support the local craftsman.
If you are visiting outside of the reenactment weekend you won’t find much here.
But, an interesting note - the timber framed structures are up kept by members of the Seminole tribe in the traditional fashion, so some times they will look worn or be in the process of re-thatching the roofs.

   Read moreNamed for the battle that took place here in 1837 during the Second Seminole War and it's nice that they have reserved the space as a park. That said, it is quite basic with very little to see.
The park has a nice public restroom, a picnic pavilion that would usually be covered but has lost its thatch and there is a grill. A small parking lot. A display with pamphlets that explain the history is a nice add.
Overall? I'd say skip this one unless you specifically want a picnic in the sun where there is open water and wildlife nearby. The caution sign for gators was enough for me to...
   Read moreIt's a historical place which is interesting 🤔 but it's a very small state park maybe two or three acres not a whole lot to see just a billboard with some information they used to have picnic tables so it was nice to sit at the picnic tables I believe they're rebuilding them because they're gone now and there's no restroom luckily it's right in a neighborhood so there's a gas station a block away... For a historical battlefield Park I wish they would have some monuments and maybe a couple trails you can walk the state should have most definitely gave this...
