This beautiful twelve acre island park is located on the north fork of the St. Lucie River. In the early 1960's the Kintz family, established a small fishing camp here. The marina has undergone several expansions and renovations over the years. Today it includes a boat launch and a small dockside store that carries bait and fishing supplies for people who want to fish off the platforms and piers throughout the park.
River Park Marina is not just a fishing destination. The park also has restrooms, pavilions with picnic tables and grills, and a large playground. There is canoe and kayak launch and this is a great park for bird watching, both from land and from the river. There is also a hiking trail through the park.
River Park Marina is the home of River Lily Cruises on a trident pontoon boat with a covered canopy. It is the longest continuously operating tour in St Lucie County. They offer an hour and a half eco tours that departs at 11 AM, October through July. They also have an Evening Relaxation Cruise on a different part of the river. Check their website for times,...
Read moreLast weekend was my first time trying kayaking and I loved every moment. The weather was so beautiful this day. I met Jackie she gave easy instructions on how to get around the route and reassurance that I will have fun and it will all be fine. Once I completed the whole route I took the kayak back to where they are stationed. I noticed The money I had in my pocket was in the kayak I put it in my pocket (well I thought I did) and I grabbed my water. When I got home I checked my pockets and realized I must of dropped it thinking I put it in my pocket . See I was so excited and in the moment , talking and everything I didn’t realize that I really didn’t put my money in my pocket. Jackie called me and asked if I forgot anything at the park I told her I lost money and she said she found it by the kayak. Thank God ! She is such a sweet and generous person for that . I highly recommend everyone to visit ! It’s a beautiful experience with kind people. Definitely going to go again on my next trip to...
