Great quiet place of nature. Great place for any age.
There is a great path to walk , this is located right on the Indian River. It has a Florida mangroves and some other of natures beauty. Great quiet place to go walk clear your mind, enjoy the beautiful nature of Florida. There is a board walk along the river as well as a "nature trail", which also leads to a 4 story "lookout"-so when you get to the top, an absolutely beautiful view of the Indian River.
You can fish, walk, sit and relax on the water, watch the wildlife and might see a manatee.
Also have a boat launch.

We stopped in hopes of seeing some wildlife. We did see a couple of fish and 1 happy dolphins just minding his own business.
The paths are sandy with lots of roots. Definitely not wheelchair friendly. I recommend watching your step and sometimes your hat. A low branch here and there can swipe the hat right off your head.
There is a tower on the South loop. Climbed to the top. That where I got the dolphin video.
I wish there was a beachy place to set up my chair to watch for wildlife. Most water areas were not big enough for the 4 of us to sit and not be in the way.
I have no manatee to report yet but it is just Feb. I’ll try again...

The boardwalk area has lots of parking with quick and easy access whether you'd like to launch your kayak or walk the boardwalk to the bridge. We saw a pair of dolphins swim under the bridge. It's a beautiful and peaceful body of water. The beach on the other side is the most natural that I've seen so far with grasses and wildflowers. Very few people were there so I think it's known mostly to locals. Also a beautiful and peaceful place that I intend to frequent. Both sides of the park permit fishing. Highly...
