My recent visit to Sawgrass Lake Park left me with mixed feelings. On one hand, the natural beauty of the park is undeniable. The abundant wildlife and the serene surroundings are a testament to the park's potential. However, my experience was somewhat dampened by the fact that a significant portion of the trail has been closed for an extended period. This limitation made it difficult to explore the park fully and enjoy all it has to offer. The open sections of the park were still enjoyable, with the observation towers providing stunning views of the lake and the wildlife. The informative signs along the trail added an educational element to the visit, which I appreciated. I hope that the closed trail sections can be reopened soon to allow visitors to fully appreciate the park's beauty. Once that issue is resolved, Sawgrass Lake Park has the potential to be a top-notch destination for nature lovers and birdwatchers. Despite my mixed experience, I would still recommend a visit, especially if you're patient and willing to explore the open areas of the park.

Sawgrass is another unknown park that is always a pleasure to visit. This park does not have a children’s play ground but has so much more to offer, rest rooms, scenic views of the lake. The park has many wild life including, alligators, fish, assorted birds , cranes and sometimes Eagles and Falcons. You can also see gopher turtles. There is a little wildlife museum close to the rest rooms and many different trails to walk. Please bring your camera because you will certainly see something inspiring you will want to take a picture of. I find this to be a great place to take the kids to run around , fly a kite, bird watching, trail walking and to have a picnic. This is a very laid back park with few people and a-lot to do. There is plenty of parking and sheltered picnic areas. I did not give a five star because there is no play ground for the children so don’t forget to bring a kite or a frisbee and in the summer off mosquito repellent. Have a wonderful time, remember don’t feed the gators.

Places like Sawgrass park are second to none in terms of solace and tranquility accompanied by spectacular panorama. First off, it's absolutely free to visit. Secondly, wheelchair accessible parking lot and plenty of parking spaces too. Although the reviews and pictures maintained various animals around the park, We (my family & I) didn’t encounter any wildlife during our visit. The entire park is Equipped with Multiple tracks and trails having rest areas and benches at every spot. I’d suggest wearing hiking shoes if plan on walking, We simply Grabbed a water bottle and hit the trails. What I really appreciate about the boardwalk is the Signs and Warnings at every nook and corner, showing directions and notifying people NOT to feed the wildlife, respectively. Sawgrass Lake Park is Such a great place to spend a day or a few hours with family/friends or in solitude. P.S- Tracks/Trails DO NOT allow pets or vehicles so keep that in mind and plan accordingly. #boardwalk #natureTrails

A wonderful little park where you can escape the hussle of the city and get in touch with nature, Florida style. Nice boardwalks, an overlook tower, and plenty of native wildlife to see. Amarillo, birds, butterflies, fish, frogs, gators, snakes and turtles can be viewed here. There has been reports of otters seen here too. There's a ground level trail which is mainly flat and even, all well marked so you will not get lost. You can benches throughout this little park. Recommend good walking shoes and something to keep hydrated with when doing the boardwalk or trails. Bug repellent maybe needed too. A nature center has nice displays inside and clean restrooms. Good, shady, parking lot. A few picnic tables can be found at the end of the parking lot. Disability parking and boardwalk is wheelchair accessible. This can be a hard to find park, so check your navigator first. From 62nd. Ave. N. turn North on to 25th. Street N., park entrance is at the end of 25th.Street N.

We were on a family trip to Orlando but the boys wanted to see alligators. We found this great place doing some research. It didn't disappoint! We walked through all 3 trails and stopped at the overlook tower. We thought we were going home with only seeing a baby alligator. On our way out, near where we started ( over the first bridge ) we saw a nice big alligator. If I had to guess I'd say 6 or 7 feet. I unfortunately cannot upload my videos . Everyone was very excited. We saw what ee came to see! We never felt in danger at any time. I suggest if you don't want to walk the whole trail, stay by the entrance on the bridge , they swim right under it. During our little hike we also saw alligator gar (and other fish) many birds, turtles, butterflies and other little critters . Overall was a nice experience that didn't take up alot of time!

Absolutely beautiful park! It's nestled in the back of a neighborhood and out of the way. It's a nice little oasis in the middle of the hustling bustling city. There is plenty of parking at the entrance of the board walk and welcome center. There is a neat little animal guide at the beginning of the trail in the welcome center. Be sure to look for all the little critters as you walk through the tree lined boardwalk! The boardwalk makes a complete circle with 2 noteworthy look outs. One of the look outs offers an unrivaled view of the lake with a 2 story balcony. We came across families on nature walks, friends hanging out after school and some joggers. It's really a great place for all kinds of out door adventures. There is also a nice area in the front for picnics and board games! I highly recommend this park.
