Update: Initially, I had given two stars because I was trying to give a fair review as I mentioned that I had prior positive experiences . However , after a passive aggressive response filled with untruths and poorly deflecting blame , I have decided one star is more appropriate. I was hopeful that a more genuine response would have been given but I expected the one that was written as I did view the responses to the other (admittedly few) negative reviews and noticed they attempted to shame the reviewer rather than take the constructive criticism or even subjective blame. l have never understood why a business would want honest reviews and then respond to them in such a manner. First, if you are going to tell me that I was not there when the egg incident happened ...then I can tell you the same of the fish pellet incident as you said yourself that you were not there. Now that the hypocrisy is addressed ...Quarters were definitely placed into the fish feeder from the beginning ...and an additional dollar was even given since apparently it was thought that no quarters were deposited. I'm sure you or one of your children have turned a quarter machine that has been stuck or doesn't turn all the way therefore not fully dispensing. Either way, in that particular incident , it was how it was said (rudely) rather than what said. That is actually why I went ahead and even gave that gentleman the benefit of the doubt in the possibility of him thinking that no quarter was deposited, hence, why I didn't go into detail in the first review. Secondly, as far as the eggs are concerned, she asked permission to YOUR staff . Perhaps, you should make your staff aware of the private events that you are having if it will somehow effect your regular business hours or customers. As far as you not knowing what your staff had told her...that sounds like a lack of communication between management and employees and I hope you can resolve that issue and prevent future miscommunication. Lastly, thanks for the invite to the Cinco de Mayo festivities. Ironic that you would choose to mention that day...considering not all Hispanics are Mexican and that you are choosing to credit your support of Hispanics by celebrating a holiday that started off as a celebration of Mexican victory over the french at a battle yet is considered a major drinking holiday in the states and few people know the true meaning of the date. Maybe, I'll stop by next St. Patrick's Day instead.
Very disappointing Easter experience. I live in Sebastian and I've been to the winery about three times prior. I've always had a good time and have recommended this place to many people. I will no longer do that. My family was visiting from Miami and I chose to bring them to the winery after Church out of all the places I could have taken them. On two separate occasions staff was extremely rude to my family and it really ruined the experience . I hate to pull the racism card but we are all Hispanic and I " look white " while my family "looks hispanic." We were all having a great time ...and spent a lot of money on donations as well as on drinks, food and even bottles for them to take back to Miami. One specific incident was related to my youngest niece , 13, who had already asked permission to pick up left over eggs. One worker had already given her permission, she took 6 (empty) eggs she had found...again, after being given permission. She was then followed and approached by another worker and asked to give back the eggs. She was very upset as she felt embarrassed and disappointed as she had permission to have the eggs but was made to feel like she had broken a rule...and she is NOT a rule breaker. Anyway, to be fair, the food, wine and music were fantastic ... However , the hospitality was definitely lacking and I don't think I will be giving them anymore of my business, which is a shame. It really put a damper on this family Easter outing and I would recommend that the owners and managers treat their customers with more respect and...
Read moreGreat place to have a fun afternoon. We went twice on Saturdays, when they had cover bands. If you are a Beatles or Stones purist, you may be disappointed . The Beatles cover band didn't dress up & altjough the music was decent, no one could come close to hitting one of Paul's back up falsetto. I heard that the original Beatles cover band cancelled( not sure that's true). The Stones cover band ,at least dressed up, but lead singer was 1/2 octave lower than Mick. ( that's why they are so famous, not many can really sing like him, not many can play like & as long as Keith)You might say, boy you're picky, but I saw a Beatles cover band in a casino in W VA, that blew us away. They hit every note & wore Sgt Pepper outfits that were gorgeous. So, really good Beatles cover bands, do exist. It was a $17 cover, so maybe that's what you get for$17,fair cover bands. We still danced & enjoyed ourselves, as it is a beautiful outdoor venue. Kinda reminded me of up north, sitting in an big open space among grapevines. They have a vodka made from wine, so you can get mixed drinks. I got a bloody mary. Very good. The drinks are $7.50. Not sure about the wine's price, but the taste was good. Food trucks are expensive($25 for a lobster roll, off a truck?) We have had a great time, but it is not an inexpensive afternoon out. I am willing to go back and maybe see an original older band, or maybe they will get a better Beatles cover band. These guys need to make a living. I appreciate that. I appreciate that The Stones band dressed up & put out energy. I gave it 4 stars because, people shouldn't be caught by surprise, by the admission, high food & drink prices. The staff are great. It's very positive. Many people brought their kids & dogs. They have also...
