I guess it's a hit or miss for each experience, i drove down since I was nearby just to make sure they were open because it had been raining where i was staying. Everything seemed fine, people were on the line to get on the ride and so I left to pick up one of my sons friends. On the ride back, my sons friend was happy when informed that not many people were there since his last experience was subpar due to it being overcrowded and not being able to run or he would run into someone else... By the time we returned it was closed. Two of the staff members explained to me that if there is lighting withing and 8 MILE radius, they set a 30 minute timer that will be reset everytime there is lighting within that distance. I had no problem with that, safety first for sure, but why the no refund policy? I had read about the policy online and decided I would prefer to buy them in-person, just in case. Thats the part that gets me upset and aches for me to add the word "scam" to this operation. While waiting in line they had an entire ordeal with a lady that purchased 9 tickets the day prior for a birthday party and became upset after waiting around for over an hour to be let on. Another gentleman, according to himself a foreign, was also attempting to get a refund. The return policy is quite straight forward in my opinion but it doesn't clear up the process. We are in Florida, all hell can be breaking loose within a 15 minute drive while the weather is perfect right around the corner... The only way to get a refund is if you have proof you are from outside of the state, which in my opinion is adding insult to injury. There is absolutely no reason for this no return policy when the weather depends on an 8mile radius- 30 lighting strike countdown.

We drove one hour each way - and it was really worth it! Despite the negative reports in the Tampa Bay Times we found Lift Adventure to be a great experience! + lots of free parking + very clean bathrooms with no signs of rust (despite media reports to the contrary) + very friendly, helpful staff that gave the place the feeling of a private club + great wake boarding area: if you get wiped out, you can walk back on white planks (see photo) + staff is dispensing tips and free coaching + 2 hrs for $27 and 4 hrs for $34 + large lake, sandy beach is great for kids, especially small kids + large obstacle course made out of inflatable elements + obstacle course sessions run for one hour and start on the full hour + several beach volleyball courts + apparently land next to park is for sale and ready for residential development - right part of obstacle course was closed today

We had a great time at Lift this week! We went to celebrate my daughter's 9th birthday on the day after Memorial Day, and it did not disappoint! It was quiet on the day we went, so we did not experience any significant wait times. This was an additional plus as my kids are younger, and I was concerned about them being on the Aquapark with larger kids. I was able to schedule our day online before going, which also made things run smoothly.

We started at the Aquapark, which is a series of inflatable style obstacles and slides, and we all had so much fun! There were definitely some challenging parts, and there were areas that were very slippery, so we all fell into the water quite a bit. But it was easy to get back on and keep playing. Additionally, there were two lifeguards stationed on the park, keeping an eye on everything, and helping people if necessary.

We took a short break and then my kids went to the Aqua Chimp, which is a jungle gym style ropes course over the water. I didn't participate in that, but my husband and kids both found it challenging and fun. In fact, my daughter said it was her favorite part, so I regret not doing it.

Lastly, we all attempted the wakeboarding park. Unfortunately, we scheduled this for the last part of the day, and I think we would have enjoyed it more if we had scheduled it first because 1) the lift would have been moving slower since they run it slowest between 12 and 2, and 2) it would have been less crowded, so we would have gotten more attempts at getting up. My children can both knee board behind a boat; however, neither of them could get up onto the wake board from the line. So we switched to a knee board, and they were able to launch from the line right away. However, they both opted to drop the line a few seconds into it because the pull was so hard. My husband, who can wake board, was able to make it around the park, but he even admitted that it was a challenge. All that said, I would caution people from purchasing the wake park pass unless you have experience on some type of board. Otherwise, it's kind of a waste of time and money. The park does offer a beginner teaching course, but they only offer it on the weekend. It seems like it would be better if they offered it during the week when there are less people there, but I'm guessing they have their reasons.

Overall, this was a knock out experience that my kids will never forget. I feel it was reasonably priced, and since it is on a public beach, you can make a whole day out of it by bringing a picnic and umbrella. Lastly, I have to give credit to the staff. The management that I dealt with was kind and accommodating, which says a lot, as I find that several of these style businesses are just out to make a buck at the customer's expense. Additionally, the lifeguards at the park are a group of college age kids that not only are friendly, and kind, but super skilled and competent at what they are doing out there. Their job responsibilities are pretty big, and I was very impressed with their ability to focus and give instruction while also being fun and kind. We will definitely go back, and I have already told all our friends with kids that it is worth the 1.5 hour drive for a day of...

Near the end of June I signed my son up for all day/everyday access to the cable park for $90 a month, with a 3 month binding contract. Before signing and after reading, I asked Ryan the manager if they close down the park frequently outside of the typical Florida weather that comes and goes. I was informed besides the weather, and maintenance and training, they are typically open. I further asked about when it's cold outside, do members still come in wet suits and are they open? I was told, yes if there's members that want to ride, they will be open. So I signed, and my son has learned to wakeboard there, and loves wakeboarding now.

He's homeschooled and the reason my wife and I were investing this much money monthly, was for an activity he could progress in daily during the week days. Obviously we understand weather/maintenance/training. But as for the first week of summer being over and school starting, they have now changed the hours of operation. Closing Mon/Tue/Wed, while only adding 1 extra hour on Thur/Fri. That's 13 hours weekly taken away from my sons membership, yet the price is still $90 monthly. It's hard not feel scammed in a sense.

Rating The Lift 2 stars only due to the fact my son learned to wakeboard here, and those are memories he'll hold onto forever.

The management is lacking in multiple areas, the dock and benches are falling apart, and when you live 45 minutes away it's not fun with the inconsistencies in communication. It's turned into a "find out when you get there situation".

I wouldn't have posted this review, and have just finished my sons membership contract of 3 months, but now that I can only take him on 2 weekdays and this was his main hobby outside of his home schooling... we're very disappointed and felt taken advantage of. If I knew the cable park stopped operating during the full week, due to their employees being students, I wouldn't have...
