This is a military history museum, and a sort of chapel which pays homage to those who served yesterday, serve currently and will serve tomorrow.

It is full of relics, gadgets, gear and transportation (marine vessels, mostly, plus helos and more), making it a fun and informative experience for most anyone. (To relate it to pop culture, this place gives me, in part, a sense that I'm visiting a museum of James Bond gadgets. Which are inspired by such military and spy gadgets as you'll see here.)

I know how dulling the prospect of visiting a museum can be to many folks. You don't want to be bored by being force-fed history on a few hours out. I won't judge. I want you to resist that anti-educational outing inclination. My motivational advice: if you have merely a creeping suspicion that you MIGHT enjoy this museum, visit it. You'll get something out of it. I am sure of it!

Any time I hear about the Navy SEALs, since my first visit, I think of this museum. It is a reference point in my mind, it had such an impact on my impression of the Navy teams.

The museum is located along the shores where America's underwater fighting teams got their start, and that leaves a strong impression. You may sense the presence of those earlier heroes training, much like you might sense the soldiers of much farther past, when at Gettysburg or Bunker Hill.

It is an aggressive and daring group of heroes this place honors. it will either inspire or humble you, or both. This museum will remind you just what "service" means, to the extreme.

The bonus to visiting this museum is that, unless you cannot appreciate any gadget or vehicle of any kind, you'll get a kick out of the unusual items on display! How can you lose?...

If you like History, Military History, and have an appreciation for our Military, this place is for you. Great doesn't say enough. Google Maps was Dead On Perfect. Easily accessible from the Main Thoughofare A1A and not far from US 1 or I-95. Plenty of free parking including for Handicap accessible Vehicles. It is adjacent to a Park and literally 50 yards to the Beach. There is a fair admission to enter and it is well worth it. It has public Restrooms which were clean. They also have a nice Gift shop. The museum itself inside has plenty of displays, including mulitple hands displays and movies. All ages can appreciate and get a involved. Most of what they have on display are actual items that have been used to keep us safe and defeat our enemies. Outside are some excellent statues, a memorial wall and water craft. There is also an obstacle course that you can use and a climbing tower once you do the paperwork inside. You should allow 4-6 hours for your visit if you want to watch the 2 hr movie at the entrance. Discounts are available for Children and Seniors. Gift shop prices are fair and they also have a Brick program if you want to purchase one. Overall this is one of the Best Military Museums that we have visited and the fact that it is located on the exact spot where the UDT / Seals got their start makes it all the more special. We were also able to see the Dogs, Raven and Bullit show some of what they have been trained to do.

A Must-See museum - a great tribute to the best warriors! This is one of the finest museums that I have ever visited. I visited this museum many times over the years. Each time I visit, I find that they have improved it again. It is located on the beach-side of A1A and shares the parking lot with Pepper Beach. There is plenty of parking. It has the actual museum, lots of static displays, a store, and an obstacle course. You enter and pay at a counter for each person visiting. They have senior and veteran discounts. The cost is very inexpensive for what the museum is showing you ($15 for adults/$12 with a discount). It is really beautifully done by years going from the most recent as you enter the door to the WWII at the southern end. There are interactive displays on computers as well as lots of very well-done displays throughout. Outside there are displays to show the various craft that are or have been used. Some are viewing only and some you can actually go onto. The entire museum and grounds are some of the best that I have seen. There is a theater with a running show to explain the SEALS and their history. There has a wonderful gift shop. The staff was very friendly. I plan to visit again and recommend it to anyone who is interested in military history. It is a must-see!
