Beautiful park, lots of great scenery views! The tower has been rebuilt and is Open! A suspicious fire destroyed the original tower in 2013. This tower is larger than the old one and features a handicap accessible ramp so everyone can enjoy the views from the top. So the new observation tower at Wall Springs Park is now open, and is the perfect spot for take sunrise and sunset panoramic photos. But the beauty of the Springs itself is a such a relaxing spot to pass the time looking at the flow of the water, sensing the smell of fresh water is a gift right there to enjoy History: The property in and around "Wall Springs" was purchased by Charles F. Wall on February 28, 1884 and remained in his family until May 17, 1927 when the property was sold to Harry W. Davis. Facts & Information on the Spring: The source of the spring is the Upper Floridian Aquifer The flow varies from zero during drought to a high of 7,405 gallons per minute During periods of high rainfall, as much as 10.7 million gallons of water can flow from the spring in 1 day The average water flow is 2,917 gallons per minute or about 4.2 million gallons per day The spring water temperature remains at a nearly constant 74 degrees Swimming is not allowed in the spring because of the danger to the ecosystem The spring became known as "Wall Springs" during ownership by the Wall family. Once the property was sold to the Davis family, the spring became known as "Health Springs" and was used as a health spa. When the property was purchased by the Cullen family on February 6, 1948, the spring name changed back to "Wall Springs" and the area was used as a recreational area until the mid 1960's. The spring and adjoining pond were used as a spa and bathing area from the turn of the 20th century until the mid 1960's. Pinellas County began acquiring the Wall Springs property in 1988, with the initial purchase of approximately 63 acres, which included the spring and surrounding area. Pinellas County has continued to acquire additional property since their initial purchase with the most recent acquisitions in December, 2008 and April, 2009. Wall Springs is now approximately 210 acres in total size.

We really enjoy this Pinellas County park many times. Filled with walking paths, boardwalks, artistic bike racks, benches, picnic shelters for visitors to use and love. Lots of flora and fauna to take in. Today we saw snook swimming in the spring, turtles, jumping fish, and many birds. There is an observation tower two stories or so high with an easy to walk ramp in addition to stairs to the top. Accessible and free ample parking. Restrooms. Educational boards about wildflowers, plants, reptiles, insects, and mammals to look for here are a nice touch. Butterfly garden could use some love. The shadey trees over trails make it more comfortable on hot days. There are signs showing how the area looked in days gone by when this was a beach attraction. No swimming now though.

Came across this park as it is along the Pinellas Trail, what a great find! Has lots of parking, a natural spring head, and an easy flat wide loop trail out to several lookouts over the bay. The benches in the park are artistic - some are wood and some are metal - one shaped like a dolphin. Unfortunately both times we visited the lookout tower was still closed and being re built due to a fire. On the walk we saw spoonbills, and many other wading birds feeding as it was low tide. We had hoped to see Manatee but due to the springs construction they can not swim up to the spring. There is a great group of photos around the spring showing how it had been developed when it was private property.

I really like this park. There's a beautiful looping path to walk down. There's 4 fishing docks that have really great views of the water. So beautiful and calming, I feel like the breeze even hits differently here. I like the artsy repurposed benches they have throughout the path. There's a wooden watchtower that's wheelchair accessible that can give you an elevated view of everything around you. This park is great for walks, jogging, or biking. It helps that the Pinellas bike trail is right next to the park, and there's a trail for biking or jogging. There's a playground and a small butterfly garden. It's so convenient that it's right off of alt 19. It's absolutely one of my favorite parks.

I have to say I've been to my fair share of parks, honestly this place is a gem, a hidden one nowadays from what I've seen not many tourists come through here the trails are paved and allow easy access and like the namesake says this is definitely a natural spring. I'm going to leave some mystery to this place there's a lot of little hidden things and features here that are worth actually discovering on your own, normally I would be much more detailed but I think I want to leave the mystery open for fellow explorers and park goers. I'm going to leave some photos up with the potential backdrops that you will find yourself in, please enjoy!

I believe out of all the parks that I walk Wall springs is my favorite. It's a beautiful park. They have a beautiful tower. As you can see from my photos it's got the option of taking stairs or ramps. It has a small little butterfly garden near the children's park that is located in the front. You can bring your dogs here. Family have birthday parties. They always keep it clean. They just redid some of the boardwalk so it looks really nice. I would definitely recommend this park to anyone. Also, the Pinellas trail is right there, so if you want to take a bike ride, a longer walk or whatever it is that you do, it's great for that too.
