The starting point for the Withlachoochee bike trail. Handicap parking right in front of bathrooms, they also have a information board next to bathroom finally there is a pavilion with two picnic tables under them to relax after a nice walk, run or bike ride.

Another great entrance to the Withlacoochee State Trail. Restrooms, covered tables, plenty of parking. If you follow the trail "To Dunnellon" you will run into a dead end, however nearby you can follow the power line access road on foot for a pretty walk.

Awesome trailhead! Covered picnic area and restrooms available. The trail connects to the Dunnellon Trail about 1 mile away. Update 7/21/2022 still awesome! As You go North it gets a little "hilly" for about a mile. Good workout!

This trail according to google maps stretches a little over 45 miles long. In this visit I only did about 28 miles of it. It is paved trail that is very scenic. Weaving between houses and businesses and some good wooded areas. Mother nature is on full display here. I was passing Armadillos, Deer, Squirrels and Racoons. They didn't seem overly threatened by me passing by either. There was a Old Gas Station joint turned into a Burger place at about the 10.5 mile mark on my left as I was heading south. Called the Burger Station. Food was good nothing to out of the ordinary though. But the decor was like that of the...

Great spot and idea for a trail across the state. Clean area, with new construction just down the way and an underpass recently built under route 41 to access the Dunellon trail head area. Bathrooms, a pavilion and parking are here, too. It can get a little busy on weekends or during events, but many park in the grass areas and nobody seems to mind. It's mainly used for bike riding since it's paved, but occasionally you'll see some walkers. If you're looking for wildlife you can sometimes see wild turkey, pileated woodpeckers, the usual songbirds, etc and I've heard stories of a bobcat, but I've...

Been riding on it for four years now, and I’m still enjoying the many tree covered parts. Never can tell what wild life you may run into. Saw six deer just a few weeks ago. Wild turkeys, snakes (usually black racers, non poisonous) turtles, tortoises, and about a million squirrels. :). The north end now connects to the Blue Run In Dunnellon, another great...
