Sites are right by the water and plenty of space. Reservations were easy and camp host was great. We were late arrivals passing through but he was still very kind and accomidating for us. As this is a county park it does not appear they spray for mosquitoes. Arriving late we had to setup in complete darkness or we were quickly surrounded by bugs. Even in complete darkness you would hit them.

Daytime would not swam you but you could still easily see them collecting if you had not sprayed down. While this is not a suprise this time of year it was worse here than other sites in the same trip. Camping here requires a screened in tent to be outside even during the day. Easy water access for small boats from what I could see but we didnt access. Sites were wide with enough space but not 100% clear seperation between them. From the pic this is 2 sites wide. Sites are somewhat level and grass. I would return without the wife and a headnet but I liked the view and...

We have absolutely fallen in love with this campground. Many of the sites are right on the lake so we were able to head to the beach right from our site. It’s a beautiful shoreline with perfect water for wading. The campsite hosts were very helpful and delivered wood to our site. There is a playground but it’s a bit dated but with the beach right there, my kids did not care about the quality of the playground. The campground also has showers and laundry facilities. A great location to stay and drive a short distance to check out Escanaba. We will...

I just love this place! A lousy review from someone who was here a week earlier (and didn't stay) almost deterred me and I am so glad we came. While $40 is a lot more than i am used to paying to camp, I'm 20 feet from Lake Michigan, and it's beautiful. the bathroom and showers are so clean, and the hosts are nice as can be. some folks staying longer term came to say hi and ask about our plans. I am so happy to stay here and recommend for others who want to be...

We unfortunately found this gem of a camping spot too late to get both nights of enjoyment. We were lucky enough to by chance find this place and get a lakeside spot!! Gorgeous view from the beach, with a picnic table, electric hookup, water hookup and fire pit. Had to walk or drive to shower/laundry. Everywhere was clean and the manager(s) were very kind and helpful. We are coming back for sure! The only reason for the 4 star review is, the sites are very close.

What a beautiful campground! Janet graciously accommodated us for 3 nights after other "reservations" down the road fell through. We are right on the Bay! We are from Texas and the hospitality here is blowing us away! Restrooms are spotless, very dog friendly park, no children here now but my husband and I have tried the swings! Great little playground! We'll be back!
