Dehlinger Winery — Attraction in Forestville

I have been a fan and loooog time allocation member for Dehlinger wines - over thirty years!. I even found ways to have our allocation delivered to us while we were expats. There is no one better in the Russian River Valley than Tom Dehlinger, his wife Carole, and their two daughters who are now playing a prominent roles in running the winery. I still remember one visit to the winery and Tom was bawling about having to drive through San Francisco to pick up Eva - who was @ Stanford....Eva is now the winemaker and Carmen - basically the "boss" - in a very elegant way - taking care of all winery's related businesses. I got to know Tom & Carole when I was @ university (when wine tasting in Napa & Sonoma was free!). I remember the time when I was wandering around Sonoma and met up with Tom when he just came back from working on the vineyard and he asked if I wanted to taste some wines from barrels... Three hours later, I rolled out of the winery... Also during that time, got to know Tom Rocchioli and his gang.... If you want to have some of the best wines on the planet and with Tom Dehlinger's ethos - great wines with a very fair price - get on their list... May take a bit of time but will be...
