Recently took my two kids to this park and it was such a great time! When you arrive, you drive over a bridge over a small creek. If you want to go to the creek, park in the first lot. The first of two playgrounds is also here.

The creek is so wonderful and it was the favorite part of the trip for my kids. They could have stayed in that creek all day. There are beautiful babbling brooks and some smaller pockets of deeper water where kids can swim. Pure Missouri outdoor fun!

The larger of the two playgrounds is located in the back of the park. It has a massive play structure with multiple slides and climbing apparatuses. Multiple smaller separate pieces of playground equipment surround this larger structure. There is a really neat splash pad here also so maybe have your kids wear swimsuits and swim shoes and bring towels even if you don’t plan on going into the creek.

There are multiple bathrooms scattered throughout the park. The bathrooms are permanent buildings with single stall port-a-potty styled toilets. They are not air-conditioned and on hot days, they are a bit ripe.

The park is a wonderful park and was originally a 5 star until the county decided to remove the park rangers and no longer securing the gates at night. Since this illadvised and money drivin decision by the county parks and counsel, 4-wheelers have been allowed in the park tearing up the equestrian area, vagrants allowed to sleep in their vehicles, unsupervised camping allowing for underage drinking and the behavior that accompanies it. Vehicles are speeding through the park imprudently without concerns for other park goers. Before dropping another star this park needs to be regulated, gates secured, additional patrols, install speed bumps or pavement dips to slow the Dietrich Rd. traffic in front of the park from curve to curve or county reps. can explain preventable fatalities at the park entrance.
