Last weekend was so much fun! My fiancĂ© @Blackville took us for family time at Klein Farms in PA. 💙 It was free to enter. They had a couple farm animals to pet and feed, two playgrounds for the kids, and a store that sells fresh produce, raw milk, and homemade ice cream! #familytime #momsoftiktok #postpartum #pennsylvania #momlife

When you first arrive you’ll notice how cute and quiet this place is! Everything here on the property is nicely placed and amazing! We usually come for the ice cream which is made from their own dairy cows and let me tell you, THE BEST ICE CREAM EVER! So many flavors to choose from and the taste is so unique. Get some ice cream and walk around and see all the animals! This place is absolutely kid friendly with their two playgrounds on site which are nice and so safe! All the animals are kid friendly as well! They have goats, horses, pigs, chickens and cows! So much fun for the entire family! Or just a night out with your wife or girlfriend. The staff was so great as well! You can try the ice cream flavors! They also sell yogurt and yogurt drinks and honey which are all made there! Such an amazing place! Would recommend this to everyone and will continue to keep coming back here forever!!!

What a great visit. The farm is open to roam and it is beautiful! I was amazed there was no “cover” fee or fee for families fo get in, although I would happily pay it. The animals look happy and healthy (again very clean). My kids loved it. The playground was under construction when we were there, but there were still other things for the kids to play on. I had one concern and it was for the animals and owners. One area we visited there was no supervision, I guess you could say? We own hoofstock and always have eyes on visitors, just in case. Some idiot fed our local donks with hay and it killed them, so
it’s just a sore spot. Later that day the farm posted about someone putting grass in the babies feed bins. Folks- don’t feed animals that aren’t yours, unless the food is provided by staff or you’re given the ok. Thank you for such a wonderful visit! We will definitely be back!

Klein Farm, oh what a wondrous haven it is! Not merely a farm, but a symphony of delights for the young and young at heart. Nestled in the heart of Pennsylvania, this pastoral paradise boasts a playground where the laughter of children mingles with the rustling leaves. It's a place where jubilant little souls celebrate their birthdays, where the hayride becomes a journey into the heart of rural charm.

But my friends, allow me to wax poetic about the treasure that I uncovered in this bucolic paradise - the Shaggy Mane mushroom! In the midst of this enchanting landscape, I stumbled upon these fungal wonders, sitting there like nature's artwork. Some were still pristine, their delicate caps untouched by time, while others were undergoing their mysterious transformation into inky black goo.

The Shaggy Mane, an enigma of the mycological world, has a tale to tell. Its Latin name, Coprinus comatus, sings of elegance and grace, much like its appearance. The cap, a shaggy masterpiece, stands tall and proud. But what makes this mushroom truly captivating is its journey from life to decomposition.

As it transitions, the Shaggy Mane becomes a living canvas of metamorphosis, like a caterpillar turning into a butterfly. It deliquesces into an inky substance, ready to give life to new organisms. Remarkably, even in this inky state, it remains edible and nutritious, a testament to nature's intricate designs.

Now, let me emphasize my profound love for mushrooms, and particularly the Shaggy Mane, which I found flourishing at Klein Farm. To talk up this mushroom is to celebrate the poetry of the natural world, a spectacle that beckons curious minds to explore its mysteries.

So, if you ever find yourself at Klein Farm, be sure to relish the ice cream, revel in the company of baby cows and goats, and bask in the warmth of the hayride. But amidst all these delights, let the Shaggy Mane be your muse, a symbol of the beauty and wonder that Mother Nature bestows upon us, reminding us that even in transformation, there is a...

I’ve always said to my wife that when I retire, I’d like to open an ice cream shop (I did not open one) and give the people their money’s worth and they’ll continue to come back. My old saying was make a nickel and they’ll be back make a dollar and they’ll never return. So, on Monday we took a friend to Klein Farms Dairy and Creamery for ice cream. I STRONGLY believe in supporting the farmer. My wife and our friend got a scoop and a sugar cone for $5 each and I got 3 scoops and a waffle cone for $10 for a total of $20. Expensive, yes but worth the cause. Here's where the problem comes in. I was told when you order a large (3 scoops) it is actually 6 scoops and that is not what I got! As a matter of fact, the 3rd scoop was barely a scoop and she went back to the freezer for a sliver of ice cream to top it off. So, I sent a message to the farm via Facebook Messenger which they never answered and then went the farm yesterday and asked to speak to someone about my experience. The owner comes out with an attitude saying, “I can’t get help”, “They’re young kids” “What is it exactly you want”. He wasn’t the least bit interested in knowing what happened. I never asked for money or anything for that matter. He said did you take a picture? My response was you have cameras all over the place. In parting I put my hand out to shake this owner’s hand and he refused! That’s ok. I don’t need to do business with you. I told him also we believe in keeping the local guy in business apparently, he doesn’t feel that way about his customers. By the way this, was the second time it happened. Or should I say the last time it...

AVOID GOING ON WEEKENDS. The weekend staff is rude. I come to this farm once a week and love the ice cream. The weekday evening staff is always a nice group of young adults. However, I noticed the weekend staff are so rude. I’ve only gone twice on the weekends and both were bad experiences. Last weekend I went right around closing. The staff had packed up almost 10 minutes before 8pm (they allegedly close at 8..). I brought my family from NEW YORK to try their ice cream to the end of their weekend visiting PA. We were not even greeted, just given grunts. The two girls angrily put on their gloves and one said “give me your order all in one go” in such attitude. They both were looking at each other, so obviously exchanging looks of disbelief that we came in
it was a large group but we did not all get ice cream. Only 4 orders of SMALL CUPS which is 1 scoop of ice cream. We were all out of the shop with our ice creams in hand by 7:56pm, which was still before they officially closed. It was so embarrassing having hyped this creamery as my favorite go- to spot to my family and that is the experience they got. If you don’t want customers to come in after 7:50pm, then lock the door. Very...
