Oleson Park Music Pavilion — Attraction in Fort Dodge

This is one of my personal favorites in Webster county with the music pavilion for starters and they have this decent sized backyard type pond that contains a spectacular array of koi fish. So in the rear of the pavilion they have a deer sanctuary and in the past there were a handful of albino whitetail deer, but just recently I meandered through and didn't see any this time. Then of course the splash pad and playground for the youngsters. I have to say that the grounds keepers are doing a wonderful job of keeping it trash free and the transients out. GREAT JOB...

My youngest daughter was married there in the bandshell. It has changed a lot since then. She'll be married 26 years July 1. Also, her oldest daughter, my oldest granddaughter was invited to play with the Karl King band many times while attending ICCC. But with the covid pandemic, so much changed. A handful of animals in the 'petting zoo.' Buildings taken down. But it's still beautiful; a place to sit, photograph, waiting to be sneaked into my 70th birthday party 🎉🎉🎈🎉🎉 in a private residence. I probly jst think that its 5stars cuz so many memory's as a kid olesn park used to b the best park until they ruined the pool to a glorified sprinkler to where they took out the best playground (the monster) an replaced it with sum dangerous state of the art as they called it obstacle course o an dnt let me forget the petting zoo jst dum gave kids sumwhere to hang out other than the hood so I guess only 5 stars for memory's two thumbs dwn...
