This place is far from family friendly!! The absolute most rudest, snotty, hateful young kids who are the lifeguards. There is a new rule with every single lifeguard. No one is on the same page with rules. They pick and choose who and how they want to do the swim test and for whom.My little guy, 6yrs, 43inches, did not understand the rules and stayed afloat and swam, she failed him. I asked why and if he could retake and she said no. The kid behind him jumped in and sank, and that was an understandable fail. So my little dude went to the little kids area, then was told by a lifeguard he needed a parent there. When I asked him why, he said "for 4 and under, they have to have a parent". I informed him he is 6years and over 40inches, he said "oh, ok". This is the worst pool experience we have ever had anywhere. Also, sinks in the women's restroom not working, but they can stay open?? How is that not a health violation? When asked at the gate upon leaving for names, we were told they rotate so they had no names to give us. Funny thing is, we left our name and number to be called by the man who runs the facility. A so called "manager" called us and said the life guard never refused to retest him. How did they find the lifeguard that "rotated" so quickly but had no idea or clue when we stood there. They decided to then argue with us on the phone about what happened even though they had no idea or answers when we stood there. This facility is not family friendly! Now I see why people make the drive to other areas. We'll be sure to...
Read moreThis is a great place, prices are great for the family water park. I don't know of another one with these great prices. The only downside is when there are a lot of people it can its hard to move around. Lifeguards are very good and keep a good eye on kids. But they also get some kids that are starting things that aren't safe and the kids yelling at them. But they got the kids out. So everyone could enjoy the rest of the day. I would allow my kids when they were young to go there. I always watch for the kids and seniors and how they are treated. You go, lifeguards, you are...
Read moreYesterday I brought 2 grandkids at a little before 3 oclock. At 3 they had a 10 minute "water break". Apparently they require everyone to get out of the pool every hour. The rationale for this is not clear, but appears to be play time for the staff. I have taken grandkids to the Aquatic Center in Cedar Falls at least once a week all summer. They do not have "water breaks". We had brought clothes to change into to go out to eat after swimming. To say the shower/restrooms were disgusting is an understatement. It looked like...
