Snell-Crawford Park — Attraction in Fort Dodge

One of my favorite places. Beautiful, historic park. Soldier Creek winds and babbles through the lower park. Works Administration structures from the 1930's are still in place. The upper park has a modern playground, volleyball courts, and cooking and picnic areas. Parking areas and the main walking trail feature new asphalt (2016). Beautiful park. Teenage kids (middle school in assuming) were being somewhat destructive (they destroyed the bathroom) and loud (yelling slurs and profanity) towards each other while we were trying to have a family picnic, but had a good time anyway. Except for not being able to use the bathroom after 2 girls made it unusable. I saw there is a long trail and disc golf looked fun. No cell service by the playground strangely enough. Easy parking and didn't see any garbage laying around, very clean picnic tables. First...

Wow! Really cute place at end of community area. Nice park, well laid out, fun meandering creek with railroad track past. Really enjoyed the 9 hole disc course. Especially nice bc it was in a loop so wasn't a 10 mile walk to nowhere. Lots of trash receptacles, which was appreciated for our drink and snack break....
