We spent two days at this national park. It's a pretty national park.

I would say it's mostly for boating, fishing, and camping.

We went on a fishing tour with Wade Watson which was awesome. I caught 3 fish throughout the day and 8 were caught total in our group.

The other day we rented a pontoon boat from Northern Lights resort and just relaxed on the lake for half the day.

We tried to do one hiking trail, but there wasn't really much to see.

The flies were really bad. Even with big spray we still got bit a lot.

We saw quite a few bald eagles on Lake Kabetogama and one beavers dam. The rock garden was interesting to check out.

I'm glad we came to see this national park and I think a day or two was all we...

The Lake Kabetogama Visitor Center is a great starting point for various activities, such as guided boat tours, canoe rentals, and hiking. Rangers often lead educational programs and guided walks, which are highly informative and enjoyable. Inside, you’ll find educational exhibits that offer insights into the history, geology, and ecology of Voyageurs National Park. The exhibits are engaging and informative, making them great for both kids and adults. There’s also a theater that shows a short film about the park, which is highly recommended for first-time visitors to get an overview of...

Our Homeschool group really enjoyed the sledding hill at Sphunge Hill. The families had lots of fun speeding fast down the hills, enjoying a winter picnic at the picnic tables, getting warm by the campfire where they roasted hot dogs and smores, and exploring the island. We were also grateful to Park Ranger Ryan for explaining how safe the Ice Road was since we were a little leary driving on it. Overall, it was a wonderful experience that we hope to enjoy again! Our only suggestion is...

A nice, quaint visitor center of Voyageurs National Park. Although not as big a facility as, say, the Rainy Lakes visitor center, this facility still has several great ranger programs including boat tours (the best way to see the park). In addition, there is a small bookstore, a few exhibits, and a movie at this location. Also, a boat launch can be found here. The staff, as always, is professional, helpful, and welcoming.
