Founders Park — Attraction in Fort Liberty

I love this little park across the street from Town Hall. It contains a frisbee golf course that is lightly used so one can usually stroll through the middle of walking (or jogging) on the asphalt path around the perimeter. Ample shade.

The Christmas display is absolutely beautiful, and with the season just around the corner, the Leland in lights display has become a tradition started three years ago. The park is a great place for walking, biking, taking your fur babies too, and accommodating for children to have a great day of fun. There is also a book swap station free to it's visitors. Nice area for outdoor concert. Children's playground nearby as well. Did not have enough bathrooms but city did open Town Hall to allow access to those bathrooms. Minimal parking & entrance to event was not marked very well. Weather was great & enjoyed Jim Quick & Coastline Band. There was one food vendor who was not ready to serve until event...
