Blind Creek Beach in the greater Port Saint Lucie area of Florida may just be our favorite beach that we've visited to date. Keep in mind that as of this writing, we have only visited the beach prior to its obtaining official nude status in mid-2020, which we have heard through the grapevine is attracting more visitors that may not have known about the beach prior to this publicity (for better or worse). We mention this particular caveat because we believe one of the best things about BCB is the fact that it is a more remote, peaceful alternative compared to many of its "competitors" (namely nearby Haulover). While Blind Creek has seen nude use for many years, it was officially voted on and recognized by the county and state as a nude beach after a 4-1 vote in June of 2020. Since then, official signage has been erected and the local volunteer group (Treasure Coast Naturists) is looking at providing more facilities for its visitors. As of our visits, parking was free, but the amenities were limited to portable toilets adjacent to the parking lot -- this may all be changing in the years ahead. That all said, the beauty of Blind Creek was its remoteness. Even if the beach was relatively busy during our visits (50~ cars in the parking lot), you had plenty of room to distance yourself if that is what you desired. The beach, while narrow shore-to-dune, feels like it stretches on for miles and miles (the recent signs may restrict this more than what has historically been the case). This is probably because of its unique positioning on Hutchinson Island, away from any really developed properties (other than the power plant across the street). Blind Creek is quite the opposite of Haulover. Virtually no amenities or facilities, but a tranquil beach unlike any other that we have visited. No sounds of traffic or visions of skyscrapers... just the sand, sky, and sea. While the Treasure Coast Naturists aim to keep the beach in good shape and function as ambassadors similar to those at Haulover, it should be noted that they don't seem to have as much of a physical presence there. While we have never personally had anything other than amazingly positive experiences, recent posts online may indicate that the announcement of Blind Creek's nude status to the public may have attracted some unwanted individuals and TCN may need to step up their game in order to crack down on undesired behavior, though they recently (September 2020) held a new beach ambassador training of their own, so hopefully that bodes well for its future.

HELLO ALL. I MADE IT TO BLIND CREEK ON FRIDAY, JAN 31ST , 2025. MY G.P.S. BROUGHT ME RIGHT TO THE ENTRANCE OF THE PARK. THERE WERE SIGNS ALL OVER ABOUT THE PLACE BEING CLOSED. YOU COULD SEE MANY CONSTRUCTION VEHICLES . THE FRONT AREA WAS ALL TORN UP. SO I FIGURED " FIVE HOUR WASTED DRIVE " . ABOUT TWO HUNDRED YARDS AWAY I SAW ALONG THE ROAD , ABOUT TWENTY FIVE CARS PARKED. I HEADED CLOSER FOR A LOOK. AND THEN I NOTICED A MAN SETTING UP A BEACH CART.GREAT. HE HEADED INTO AN OPENING IN THE WOODEN GATE ALONG A DIRT AND GRASS TRAIL. I ASKED HIM IF THIS WAS THE WAY TO THE NUDE BEACH. HE TOLD ME YES. I PARKED , AND UNLOADED MY STUFF AND WENT IN. THE PATH WAS WIDE , WITH HARD DIRT AND GRASS. GREAT FOR THE SMALLER WHEELS ON MY CART. I FOLLOWED THE SMALL WOODEN ORANGE ARROWS FOR ABOUT ONE HUNDRED YARDS. NOW THE PATH GOT SMALLER AND WAS SAND. I GOT TO THE DUNES , AND IT OPENED UP , AND THERE WAS THE MOST BEAUTIFUL , LIGHT BLUE WATER. IT WAS LIKE I WAS IN THE CARIBBIAN. THIS WAS ABOUT 830 AM. THERE WERE ABOUT 30 PEOPLE ON THE BEACH. I WALKED ABOUT TWENTY FIVE YARDS FROM THE PATH AND I SET UP MY SPOT. AND THEN THE PEOPLE STARTED POURING IN. IT WAS A BRIGHT , BEAUTIFUL SUNNY DAY. SEVENTY EIGHT DEGREES, WITH A PRETTY GOOD WIND , ID SAY ABOUT FIFTEEN M.P.H. IT LASTED ALL DAY. THE WATER WAS A BIT ROUGH WITH THE STIFF BREEZE. AND IT WAS A BIT COOL, BUT I DID GO IN. AND SO DID MANY OTHERS. I SAW A FEW SINGLE MEN AND GALS OF DIFFERENT AGES. MOST OF THE CROWD WAS OLDER MEN AND WOMEN COULPES. IT WAS A VERY NICE DAY, ALL CALM AND NO B.S. WHEN I LEFT ABOUT THREE P.M. THERE WERE PROBABLY , TWO HUNDRED VEHICLES PARKED ALONG BOTH SIDES OF THE ROAD WITH PLATES FROM ALL OVER THE COUNTRY. I WILL GO BACK AS SOON AS I CAN.

OUR ABSOLUTE FAVORITE BEACH!!! The beach is clean, serene, and great people, too!!! We have made many friends here and this beach is family friendly, which is great for a naturist family!!! We enjoy the beach with our children and other families, and the beach ambassadors and local LEOs help keep the beach safe and welcoming!!! Beautiful, rustic and natural, the waters of the Atlantic off of Hutchinson Island provide temperate waters, which usually are warmed quickly in the spring by the Gulf Stream flow from the Caribbean... it can get a little crowded on the weekends, but with the longest stretch of clothing optional beach in Florida, there is plenty of room for everyone to enjoy!!! Great place for boogie boarding, parasailing, snorkeling, body surfing, sunbathing, jogging, walking, etc... and the seashells are ALWAYS amazing!!! We've seen all sorts of aquatic life: dolphins, tarpon, small sharks (completely docile), rays, jellyfish (rarely there will be a group of Man-O-War jellyfish - aka "Blue Bottles")... We even saw a pod of Humpback Whales a couple of years ago, as they migrated up the coast!!! All in all, this is our FAVORITE beach!!! Although there are no showers yet (hopefully being installed Fall/Winter 2024) there are porta-potties in the parking area (which will fill with cars fast, especially on the weekends), and they are kept pretty clean... Not a terribly long walk to the beach... and be sure to walk toward the north end of the beach and check out the observation platform just behind the dunes... the views are breathtaking!!!
