This was our 1st time visiting this farm store. They have great peaches! The store is large but didn't have as many items as I thought they would. You can also watch people sorting the peaches in the warehouse which was cool, big conveyer belts, pulleys and rollers. They had 3 different varieties of peaches when we were there-August Prince, O'Henry, and Autumn Flame. You can either take a box of pre mixed or grab an empty box and mix yourself. They have 2 different sizes, the "small" box holds 25-30 and the large box holds 45-50. So we grabbed the small box and filled it ourselves! Unfortunately they had just run out of the O'Henry's-but maybe next year. We bought spiced peach preserves which are delicious and purchased 2 flavors of pecans, praline and salted. My favorite was the salted-just my personal taste as I have simple taste. They have a counter where they serve ice cream & peach cobbler. They also have samples of the 6 different flavors of pecans which is really nice. The peaches were picked that morning and are hard but they told us to let them sit in a dark cool area for 4-5 days until ripe. I can't wait😋 The cobbler and peach ice cream were OUTSTANDING! I was expecting hard pack ice cream and it is actually a form of soft serve. I was skeptical until I tasted it! It was very delicious. It was strongly peach flavored with small chunks of peaches and a fantastic browned buttery flavor and decadent creamy texture. If you go, you MUST have the ice cream. We sat at a picnic table on their covered porch with our dog and enjoyed our ice cream...
Read moreOrdered these in 2023 and they were fantastic, even recommended these to friends! Unfortunately we also ordered another box in 2024 and they were very sour and had bruising. Not a huge deal, but since these were pretty pricey, I called the customer service line to (politely!) ask if anything could be done about this. The rep I spoke with was frustrated that I asked and a bit condescending and said that they can’t put sugar in the soil and they don’t do refunds for flavor, to which I said I understand- is there any way the bruising could be addressed? The good thing was that she agreed to send us a new box (to which I thanked her!), but her tone and attitude when trying to work out the new delivery wasn’t nice either. I worked customer service for years and I’ve had worse customer interactions but I’ve never spoken to anyone like that. I would have been happier with the interaction if she had just said something like “sorry but due to our policy we cannot offer a refund or replacement”. Grateful that we were able to get some sort of replacement, but the customer service was unexpectedly poor. Totally understand that farms can’t guarantee certain fruit quality and I don’t fault them for that, and the lower rating is purely for customer service which they...
Read moreWe are thankful to get a few of the boxes of peaches that were available this year. Really sad for our peach growers and we miss the longer availability season of previous years. The two varieties this year were still pretty amazing, bursting with peach flavor and sweetness. The review below is from last year but was never posted. We haven't found peaches in any local stores that remotely compare to the Pearson Farms peaches for flavor and sweetness.
We tried the subscription for 6 weeks of delivery and just received the second week. Both boxes are beautiful. It took a few days for last week's to ripen, but they were amazing. The boxes are well packed and padded so ours arrived in excellent condition both weeks so far. My family is from south Georgia, but we only visited periodically during my youth. I remember the delicious local peaches, but am always disappointed when I buy peaches at the store. So, we tried Pearson's and have finally found peaches like we used to get...
