Kraeger Park is kraeger Park.... That is a good thing.

This is a hidden gem right at the trailhead. Tennis, best community pool, what a wonderful fort Wayne institution to create memories for the future.

No crowds, plenty of room for dog and man to run and play.

Extraordinary walking areas on the rolling Meadows overlooking the beautiful Maumee River basin.

That area of the river trail that you can access by walking across the street is so rich with history you can almost hear the whips of the drovers.....

The straining of the harness....

The canal boats slowly creaking along....

400 years of fort Wayne history..... And of course in the old days it was the headwaters of the great Black swamp.

12 tribes.... Black white red and yellow.... Railroad men black with cold smoke....

Bears in the woods

Trees that Tower like giant buildings.....

And your great great grandfather and mine with axes trading with the natives, can see to can't see....

Ice sleds the size of houses heading towards Toledo to build a nation.... Logs piled 25 maybe 30 ft high....

20 mules or perhaps 10 oxen and the rivers frozen solid as the highway

The Great woods are gone now,. No Indians in Indiana....

But the young people you see they are now of the river and the red moon rises as Tecumseh foretold.

The best day to plant a tree was 20 years ago.

The second best day? Today.

Just do what you can, stay who you are, we all stand on the shoulders of giants.

If you want to give peace a try, if you're trying to decide whether you want to work for monsters or maybe make a little less and live a little better....

Kraeger Park .. it is a good place to determine the path of your...

Best park in town hands down. Surrounded in fake grass that stays cleaner, isn't hot on the feet and avoids mulch splinters. Splash pad is awesome and spacious so kids don't run into each other. I like that I can view the entire park from one spot so I can always keep an eye on both my children. Handicap accessable. Bathrooms are okay, not the cleanest but definitely not the dirtiest. They do seem like they are maintenanced and I assume a public bathroom of the sort gets dirty quite quickly. Sits away from the road and feels quiet and intimate. Drinking fountain offers a shorter version for your dog as well, which I thought was really cool. My children love picking up lunch and eating it here before playing...

My daughter just wrapped up an incredible undefeated season, winning the 8th grade city soccer championship—and what a place to do it! The soccer fields here are some of the best we've seen: beautifully maintained, spacious, and with a scenic view that adds to the experience.

In addition to the top-notch fields, the park offers multiple playgrounds and a splash pad that are perfect for kids of all ages, making it a great spot for the whole family. There's even outdoor workout equipment available, so parents can stay active while the kids play or practice. It's truly a community gem and a fantastic environment for both athletes...
