Greenbriar Park — Attraction in Fort Worth

Love this park and the ducks here ...there is trash that's needs to make it to the trash cans but over all not too bad I've seen worse....if it's ur first visit know that the bridge u go over there are sometimes ducks crossing so PLEASE PLEASE....go 🐌 slow...ur almost there....there's a nice sidewalk that around the pond...u can fish here but now 2023 in Sept the water line is extremely and I mean extremely L O W..and I ve never actually seen,anyone pull a fish out that was bigger than a few inches with that said I'm not there watching all the time either..I just pass time while my kid in mma class...really glad I saw this place its kinda in a weird spot..I wouldn't think it was there unless u knew lol...I have never been in the building so not sure on that but it's a good place to walk and feed ducks ( not bread people bring greens for them kale dark greens , broccoli, grapes, etc and no citrus or corn either) I didn't have a clue that bread was especially bad for Them till recently so it's just fyi now bread is just a expensive as veggies so bring veggies they will be...

3 individuals were fishing so I asked the old man what he was fishing for and his reply was he had never been fishing before and he told me to talk to his grandson what kind of fish were in this little pond for what he was fishing for and he also shrugged your shoulders and had no idea what use fishing for or if there's even fish in there to fish for. I looked over 2 ft and there was a big sign that told me the two fish over in there but the people fishing there had no idea. Then I had an angry Hispanic mother wondering why I was talking to so ended up having a arrived on the scene LOL I guess because we are all Americans talking to her...

Haven't had much personal luck with the fishing, although I've not picked the greatest days to go, but have talked to a few "locals" that know the stocking schedules and had some good tales of decent catches. I didn't go for any of the other features other than fishing. Pond could be cleaner....but I imagine it catches a lot of trash run off, in addition to people that visit just not caring.
