Wild Blackberry Farms was a dream venue to have our wedding at in May 2024. We were told hopefully white flowers would be on the rows of blackberries and they were :) So blessed and so pretty! Everyone commented on how cool the venue was - very entertaining for all, they have all sorts of farm animals that were so cool to just watch graze in the field. We fell in love with the church pews they had for outdoor ceremony too! WBF has 2 separate areas for guys and girls to get ready in. Both very comfortable! Ladies area has a nice couch & gorgeous lighting on the mirrors for hair & make-up, a cute kitchenette for breakfast and lunch to be set up on. Guys getting ready was upstairs and they have a basketball court, corn hole, big screen TV, and a cool look out at our ceremony & dance floor area. Greg and Jennifer were so easy to work with! They were very accommodating to all of our requests! They have a great vendor recommendation list - we used several of their recommendations and were very pleased! Overall very, very happy we went with WBF as our wedding venue! Thank you...
Read moreI coordinated this wedding with the bride and groom. Greg and Jennifer, owners of WBF, were easy to work with and accommodating. They have an air-conditioned bridal suite to get ready. The groom and groomsmen got ready in the large loft area.
This wedding setup was for approx 165 guests. The Vinyard chairs pictured are an upcharge, as well as linens/$18 ea. This is actually less expensive than renting from a party rental Co.
It was a beautiful day for an outdoor ceremony! Pews are for guests seating, having the blackberry vines. Cocktail hour was on the patio, with a covered bar, spool tables, and cocktail tables. Dinner was buffet style, and it works best to have your DJ call the tables up to the buffet. They have 4 farm tables, 4 cocktail tables, 4-5 lg spool tables, and a few wine barrels. It does get hot in the barn. It was a 90° day. They have about 6 large fans to pull air through the barn. It was a beautiful wedding! And I would recommend having your wedding or...
Read moreI will have to say that the blackberries are absolutely delicious, and the price per lb was reasonable (definitely cheaper than Meijer or Kroger).
However, I do not think charging 10 dollars per person to get into the Festival is worth it. I had 4 people in my car. What did 40 dollars get me besides some solo acoustic music, a giant Jenga set, a petting zoo with a goat, and an inflatable axe throwing game. Everything else cost something. Kids ride the bull? $6 dollars. Food? (Small Pizza $15, 12oz coke $2). Blackberry cobbler? 7 dollars with ice cream. Ride a horse? Gotta pay (didn't look at price). Face painting? $6.
I understand you are a business, but charging per head instead of per car was not worth it.
I would come back during regular business hours and just pick blackberries. That's where they shine. That's why I give them 4 stars because the blackberries are just that good to take a little bit of the edge off of paying 40 dollars...
