This was honestly a great place for the most part. My family and I had a really fun Father's Day out there this past weekend. But there was one MAJOR flaw that I really think they need to look into finding a solution for. The parking lot for non-members is at the top of a mountain. There are stairs going into the canyon where the marina is, but obviously you have to then climb those stairs (which is a whole mountain) at the end of the day. So basically, if you're not a paying member, have fun climbing a mountain! Nevermind the half a grand or more that you forked over to rent a boat! I don't know about everyone else but when I've been drinking and swimming in the sun all day, the last thing I want to do is haul all my stuff up a mountain to get to my car at 4:30pm in the blistering Phoenix sun. I am astounded that they don't offer golf cart rides or some kind of mini taxi or valet service to get you and your stuff back up the mountain. They would make hella money charging for something like that! I know I would have gladly paid for it! Two people in my group legitimately almost got heat exhaustion from having to trek back up the mountain with all of our coolers and bags, just to get back to the parking lot. This was my first time at Bartlett Lake but this experience alone has made me seriously reconsider ever...

Bartlett Lake has come a long way from 10 years ago,. We took our Sunday Drive to the lake and it was such a Beautiful Day and we drove to the New Marina Store and Restaurant ,, since it is off Season and slow they still had the necessities of campers and Anglers, while in the store we spoke to a Lady who was telling us all about all the changes they had made and will be making, we introduce ourselves to her and her name is Sarah, a Beautiful Lady, we later walked over to the Restaurant for Lunch and it was Great, the Food was Great, the servings we're alot, and my wife saw a picture on the wall of a lady and two gentlemen. Well it turned out to be Ms Sarah and her two Sons, it was an Honor to have met Ms Sarah,,. We will be going back to Bartlett Lake for Camping and going to the Restaurant,. And by the way they have a Full...

We absolutely loved our visit until the sun started to disappear.... Waves were a blessing in disguise when the boats came marching through 🌊 and boy was it refreshing! We found a ton of what we would call “sea glass”, back on the East Coast, So we changed “Sea glass” to “Lake glass” 🤭😄 We arrived in The Marina where we talked to a very nice man (whom ran the rentals for SUP and he does so much more) who was of great help in advising us where we could bring our daughter to swim....So we set off to drive a little ways to Rattlesnake Cove. Few of our issues we had there were all the the 🐝’zzzz, the 🐜’s. Then the loud music and very Intoxicated foul mouthed ppl piling in later (round 4pm). We packed up and left. I suggest getting there early, and enjoy your time there before the...

spring is a great time to explore Arizona. the weather is beautiful, wildflowers are blooming, and the rivers and creeks are flowing. below are a few ideas to help get you started ⬇️ 📍see wildflowers at Bartlett Lake take a scenic drive down Bartlett Lake Dam road and enjoy lush desert landscape along with a stunning mountain backdrop. the wildflowers are blooming right now along North Lake Road. there are pullouts available to stop and take pictures. please take care not to trample the flowers. *current footage as of 3-18-24 📍hike the Claypool Tunnel this 4.6 mile trail is located near Superior, AZ. the trail leads to the old tunnel that was once used as the main thoroughfare through Queen Creek Canyon on old US HWY 60. dogs are welcome but must be leashed. parking is free. 📍walk behind Horseshoe Dam located just north of the Phoenix metro area, this waterfall only flows when water is being released from Horseshoe Reservoir. the best part of this easy adventure is that you can WALK BEHIND the waterfall along a paved walkway. the road leading out to the dam is dirt with numerous potholes, however high clearance is not needed. *current footage as of 3-18-24 📍swim at Water Wheel Falls located near, Payson, AZ, this is a great place to bring the family. there are picnic spots and plenty of swimming holes to enjoy. if you are up for an adventure, you can hike 3/4 mile up the creek to the waterfall. a $7 day use fee is required for parking. be aware that this area is prone to flash floods, always check the forecast before heading out. dog friendly. 📍visit Tonto Natural Bridge located near Strawberry, AZ, this state park boasts the largest known travertine bridge in the world! enjoy picnicking and several scenic trails with viewpoints. the park charges an entrance fee of $7/adult and $4/child. children 6 and under are free. hours of operation are 9am-5pm. also, don’t miss the short waterfall trail that leads to a hidden oasis with a waterfall and mossy cave. dogs are allowed on paved paths, but not on the trails. who’s ready for some spring adventures? 😍 #springtime #visitarizona #springbreak #paysonaz #wildflowers #roamtheearth #arizonawaterfalls
