Had an amazing time here with my family last week. There WAS this sign at the beginning, but no one seemed to pay any attention to that and my wife and her daughters have been coming here for years. This is a beautiful place to spend the day with your family, or by yourself for some peaceful time alone. There is calm water, and also rushing water with waterfalls. There are a few small waterfalls and you can actually get in the water and take pictures in the waterfall. I didn't want to post too many personal pictures, but let's just say I took about a hundred pictures that day LOL. Just please BE CAREFUL sliding down the rock into the current. The locals will do this, and it is fun. But it also poses a risk of danger. There are rocks under the water after you get to the bottom. I lost control and fell off of my tube and smashed my shoulder and foot off of jutting rock underneath the surface. I also lost a $400 pair of Salvatore Ferragamo sunglasses. Cedar falls is my favorite so far!! Nowadays my neck of the woods.
Great hiking trails for people of all abilities, with activity trail being shortest at the first entrance when you arrive from fork shoals (0.25 miles around playground).
Then you have green trail, forest trail, river/nature trail along Reedy river, and the paved path (paved is closer from second entrance, but forest trail or nature trail will connect to it from first entrance too),

Read moreMy kids and I love this park location is perfect and it’s peaceful we hike the trail all the way to the waterfall and it’s so fun the hike is not that bad if you start by the playground and go towards the back if it we took some awesome pictures and was able to walk on the rocks in the water I will suggest going with the current is not fast so you can see the rocks under the water and when the weeds are not overgrown like spring time there no panic tables but there are large rocks you can sit on by the water my seven year old remember the whole train from beginning to end he enjoyed it there only seating by the playground it’s small playground no swings just a lot things for children.
