I’ve been to paintball courses in Missouri, North Carolina, and now this one in Colorado and this was by far the worst place I’ve been too. To start, it was super disorganized. The first round wasn’t bad, but every round after that no one knew what they were doing. In the capture the flag game no one on my team knew what the flag was or where it was located. I asked a ref and he said it was a green towel lying somewhere on the “50 yard line”. When up there looking I spoke with another ref who said it was an orange flag that was hanging on the flag pole in the middle of the ring. Why do they not even know what the objective is? Another round the refs didn’t explain the rules well enough and there were people on the other team in locations that were thought to be out of bounds shooting at us so we had to adjust our strategy during that game to compensate for the enemies who were in locations they weren’t suppose to be in. Another round of the same game, in a different location, the enemies were suppose to be in a trailer defending while we assaulted. As I’m assaulting I’m getting shot at from a direction that is not from the trailer. I get hit and asked the ref if they are suppose to have anyone over there and he just disregards that I ask him a question. I go spawn and come back to assault the trailer from the same direction and again am taking fire from the same direction. I asked the ref again why there were people shooting at us from over there when the game was attack and defend the trailer abd we were getting fired at from a “courtyard” not close to the trailer. He then sees my own team is shooting at me cause the rules were not explained well and no one knew what was going on. Several times we had people doing things that were not within the rules of the game so the games were stopped early. There were several times the game had started only a couple people knew so some people were playing while others didn’t know what was going on. All the refs were 17-18 year old kids who didn’t know what they were doing. There was a group of 2 or 3 guys there who I discovered used to work there and there was definitely a bias during the game towards them. One instance I shot a guy(the guy who used to work there) and advanced from a corner to shoot two more guys. The first guy I shot started shooting at me and so I returned fire at him again, knowing I already hit him. I hit him several times and he continued to shoot hitting my shoulder. A ref comes up to me and says “sir you’re out.” The same guy, later on, is defending a trailer and can only get out with a head shot. I advance to the door and am popping my head and gun around the corner firing a couple rounds and going back behind the wall. As I’m assaulting I keep hearing, what I thought to be, the ref and the players in the trailer telling me to stop “blind firing” which at no point did I shoot without looking what I was firing at. As I enter the trailer I see the dude sitting on the ground half behind cover and half exposed shooting while he has his head behind cover, blind firing which I was just yelled at for even though I didn’t. Nothing was said to him. I shoot him in the chest a couple times and I hear, what I believe to be the ref again, telling me to stop shooting. I comply then he leans out and shoots me in the face and I’m called out. I will not be going back to the place. The main reason why I chose to go to this place was for the castle that we didn’t even play while we were there. Was not satisfied...

Second time playing airsoft, very satisfied.

They killed it in every aspect. My only complaint is I disliked the airsoft court we played on. As someone who enjoys MilSim and shooting games, arenas with lanes and no designated flow are the death of me. Most of our matches were standstills with people mounted up in buildings opposite each other and having a long range pissing match. That being said, it wasn’t a dealbreaker in the slightest, still a great activity.

Staff were friendly and attentive. They care about feedback and make sure people that want to be on teams together get put together.

The various groups of friends that kept pushing for private matches which excluded some players were limited so people didn’t feel too left out.

Constant rotating game modes to keep things interesting. Specifically, bomb, team deathmatch, and capture the flag.

The rental gear worked. It was cheap. It had its issues. But they worked well for what we paid. I spent $100 flat for two people for admission and full rental kits for an all day experience.

Tips for Beginners: • The airsoft court is outdoors. The flooring is turf so you shouldn’t slip under sunny conditions. Wear comfy shoes and definitely avoid sliding or crazy call of duty maneuvers. • Rental kit comes with a mask, 1000 bbs (you probably won’t use them all), a vest, and the gun. • Bringing your own stuff is encouraged and gear like grenades must be approved so they are safe and fair for everyone. • The parking situation is a little strange. You check in near the paintball arena but have to walk or drive about a quarter mile to get down to the south courts where airsoft is • Their food is killer. Awesome tacos for cheap, cold drinks, chips, and utensils. Honestly should be more expensive due to the quality. • Bring layers. They use bio-degradable bbs which aren’t super painful and dissolve to avoid pollution. They still hurt and will leave welts. Minimum clothing should be no exposed skin. Cover neck and arms. I suggest wearing either shorts under pants or two pairs of pants. Thigh shots hurt very badly. • Gloves. Bring gloves. Anything will help. Anything robust with padding or Knick guards will save your life. Hand shots are rare but do hurt badly if on knuckles or between fingers. • Watch out for kids. The refs handled them well in my experience, but kids tend to not recognize when they are out and will pepper you a lot. Thankfully our ref put an end to that after it happened. Hopefully your experience is the same.

All in all, great experience. If you live airsofting, this is a more lax sister location to GoAirHeads. If you’re new, it’s a safe and friendly place...

We’ve attended several birthday parties at Blitz in the past and the kids always had a great time, which is why we decided to host our own party there. We reserved a weekday slot well in advance and arrived 30 minutes early for check-in.

Unfortunately, the check-in process was extremely chaotic. Despite having confirmation that the birthday child receives free entry (as stated on our online invoice), this was denied by both the staff and the manager. When my husband returned later to show the receipt, the manager acted as if he had no knowledge of it.

I’m a very organized person and had ensured all waivers were completed ahead of time using the provided QR codes. However, we were told the QR codes were “pointless” and not valid, and half the waivers weren’t found in the system, forcing us to track down parents to re-sign waivers, which significantly cut into our scheduled play time.

There were only two groups total in the arena, yet the kids had to rotate turns every 20 minutes, limiting their play time and creating long wait times In between games. When I asked about having a second referee, the manager sarcastically remarked that there is “usually one ref for two groups, but fine” and said he would grab a mask, which he never did. No additional support was provided.

Overall, our experience was disappointing. The event felt disorganized, the customer service was absent, and the kids had significantly less play time than expected. It was extremely over priced and we were offered zero compensation for our the lack in staffing and over all satisfaction. For the price we paid, the experience did not meet expectations. Sadly, I would not recommend hosting a party at Blitz based on our experience.

Edit: The owner responded and while I appreciate the response below, unfortunately, much of what he explained here was never communicated to us at the facility. In person, he stayed in the back, was dismissive, his tone came off as rude and he acted like I was an inconvenience when I approached him. We received more clarity in his Google response than we did during the actual event, which speaks to the lack of professionalism we experienced that day. I still maintain the experience was disorganized and not...
