Was very disappointed. You have to wait here to go on the bus tour. They have games and you can ride a wagon that takes you on a mini tour of the Grand Canyon. One thing that was sooo disappointing was the customer service. Most of the employees were so rude. They were irritated when you asked for help. We were in a big group and I watched how all the employees were annoyed the whole time. They acted like we were bothering them. You could tell they hated all the tourists. They also had two registers in one store and had all these rules on what you could purchase at each register. Was ridiculous and confusing and I think the employees got a kick out of messing with the tourists. Then we go on the wagon ride and the guy who was giving the tour was even more of a jerk. He went through his spiel with his tour with no enthusiasm what so ever and even they driver was so rude too. When one of the tourist asked him what kind of horses that was leading the wagon he ignored him and mumbled something. When one of the tourist asked a question to the guy in the back giving a tour he would answer in a condescending tone and wasn’t very nice AT ALL! I had the feeling he hated us tourists because everytime someone asked a question he would answer in a very combative sarcastic tone. I couldn’t wait to get off that wagon. It got so awkward because everyone could tell he was being a jerk! Don’t bother wasting time going to this ranch. All you will get is an attitude from all the employees. They don’t want tourist there but they sure want our money. If you can avoid the ranch, do so because you’ll walk away thinking that your trip to the Grand Canyon was so disappointing. Even the employees at the Skywalk were just as bad. The funny thing was after the trip, I talked to all my friends who went and we all had that same vibe that we were not welcomed there. The ONLY great thing about this ranch was the magician. He was funny and nice and super cool to the kids. The tour guy on the wagon should learn a thing or two from the magician on how to treat their customers! Never again will I come here and will definitely not recommend to anyone I know and will tell them to definitely avoid...

My family and I stayed at the Cabins at Grand Canyon West right after Christmas and we were very pleased with our stay. The cabin was cozy, clean, and comfortable. We knew based on reading reviews that the cabins were sparsely decorated so we brought a folding table and plenty of food in a cooler because restaurant options were limited. We also brought cups/plates/forks etc. because we knew that these would not be included based on the room cabin description, nor did we expect those things unlike some other unhappy guests. The cabin did include a mini fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. I loved that this was a small property and that you’re able to park right outside of your cabin so no long walks from your car to your cabin. This property works hard to preserve the night sky, so there aren’t any big, bright street lights so come early if you can before it gets dark because otherwise it’s hard to see. Hualapai Point, which was right next to the cabins, was an adorable little village with the check in desk, a restaurant, a little shop, and an arcade shooting range. This was all within walking distance from the cabin. There were also 2 short trails that take you right to the canyon rim for amazing views. The Grand Canyon West shuttle was conveniently located behind the arcade shooting range and made frequent stops to take you to the main terminal, Eagle Point, and Guano Point since you are not able to drive yourself past the main terminal. These shuttles also took you back from these locations. Please read the room description and reviews BEFORE booking and know that you may need a few extra things at this cabin vs a fully furnished cabin. We were very pleased with our stay and plan...

My friend and I stayed here for a few days in April 2017. It was such a fun experience! They have different activities such as roping, horses, performances by staff, campfire complete with Smores and a magic show that kept a 47 and 30 year old entertained. They have several places for photo ops, including a wooden coffin, an old jail cell and boards you put your face in. The staff was overly accommodating. I had medication that needed refrigerated and they promptly provided us with a mini fridge in our room. We bought one of the excursion packages that included some meals and three different stops along the Grand Canyon. One of our stopping points took a little longer than anticipated, causing us to miss our bus back. The staff came and picked us up and took us back to the ranch. Stellar service!! We also did the Sky Walk and took a helicopter ride to the bottom of the Grand Canyon. These are extra (I believe both are), but absolutely worth the money! The food was good, but it was a limited menu. I have food allergies/intolerance and was able to find things to eat. Probably one of my favorite things was the opportunity to disconnect for a while and fully submerge myself in the experience. There was no Wi-Fi when we were there (looks like this might have changed from other more recent reviews), no cell service and I don't recall television, but that was fine by me! My friend and I enjoyed the break from technology. As I mentioned, the staff members were awesome, taking time to talk with us, make recommendations and answer our questions. We will...

The cabins at Grand Canyon West have a huge wow factor with their large porches and amazing views. The interiors are basic and would benefit from a few upgrades. One of the biggest issues is that they’re built as adjoining cabins, with shared walls and long floorboards that run under both sides, so if those in the neighboring room are up walking around at night, it shakes the floor and bed frame in your room. A little insulation or cutting of boards would help. Parking is odd as well — the view from the porch is astounding, but it would be nice not to have to park your vehicle in front of the railing (I’d rather enjoy the canyon without looking at a row of cars). Staff, room servicing, and food options are limited but workable. It would be nice if the cabin-registration team was able to handle all elements of bookings. While they’re able to sell Skywalk and zipline tickets, they said they knew nothing about the discount for state residents that’s shown on their website and told us we’d need to go make our purchases at the crowded main ticket terminal, where all the tour buses and general visitors arrive. Overall, we had a great time and would stay here again.

We stayed at the cabins to be able to go to the sky walk bridge first thing in the morning and it worked out perfectly plus we did the Zipline afterwards and it was right behind the cabins. The staff was friendly, the room was ok but smaller than you'd think, no TV in the rooms and the wifi is your only lifeline. It is insane how quiet it is here, the view of the Grand canyon from your cabin porch is beautiful during the day but the flood lights they have at night prevents you from seeing a lot of stars which was a bummer. Definitely be prepared and bring plenty of your own food and snacks as the one restaurant and gift shop closes down at 6pm so after that you're on your own except vending machines. The trail that goes along the rim to a lookout point was totally worth it, absolutely beautiful! Bring water and be safe!

Great place to stay while visiting the Grand Canyon West Rim. Things are still shut down here other than the check in office. He said the closest restaurant was 10 miles back, so plan on bringing enough that will fit in a small room fridge and microwave. There is a restaurant inside the Canyon at Eagle Point but it is only accessible with tour purchase. It was definitely worth coming the night before to stay and getting to the Canyon early (instead of the 2+ hour drive from Vegas) in the morning, spending the day on the West Rim tour, and being able to relax that evening without have a 2+ hour ride back to Vegas. Would recommend if you plan on visiting here. Also there is a nightly campfire to roast smores.
