Colorado Cellars — an original Palisade family winery — is definitely our very favorite Palisade winery. We LOVED ❤️ the superb quality of Colorado Cellars’ many fruit wines and we greatly appreciated the fact that this is a small family run winery. We enjoyed two wonderful visits at Colorado Cellars during our Palisade stay and we cannot wait to return here again.🎊🎉

Stopped in here while wandering through Palisade and had a wonderful time. There were so many choices on the tasting menu and the cost was very reasonable. We picked up some cheese and meats to enjoy sitting outside with our wines. Staff was very friendly and shared lots of information about the winery with us.

Patde and Stephanie took amazing care of us. Colorado Cellars is Colorado's Oldest Winery and they have mastered the art of making wine! Over 30 different wines (many award winning) and each one has a distinct taste. Perfect for wine lovers of dry and sweet varieties!

This review is very upsetting to write . I flew in from WA state to Albuquerque NM. I mapped out a road trip to my hometown, Denver CO.

I went to a winery in Palisade and met some great women. We were finishing up our drinks at the current winery. We decided to go to another winery in town together. We all pulled up our google maps and started our search. I must have suggested Colorado Cellars winery and had it pulled up on my phone. We then decided to go to another winery and I ended up closing my phone. Accidentally, I must have given a 1 star review for Colorado Cellars winery when I closed my phone.

A week later I received a notification from google stating I have a lot of views on my reviews. I was like hey, I should write some cool reviews about all the stops I made on my way to Denver. I jumped into google reviews and was ready to write some great reviews. Well, I was in for a surprise. I found out that Colorado Cellars has accused me with a reply “a Nova Seewald from Ohio had tried stealing from them”. They didn’t simply ask me why did I give them a one star review. No they accused me of stealing. Three things, one, I’m the only Nova Seewald in the world (I’ve googled it numerous times in my life out of curiosity due to my unique name). Secondly, they could have kindly asked my why did I give them a one star. And lastly, the two women I met would vouch for me, Tracy and Jill (not adding last names for security reasons) would say that I wasn’t even there. If they would have asked me directly what gives, I would have replied with, my mistake and have removed the negative one star. Since they created this entire story that has been false and painful. Also they could cause current and future damage to my reputation and my career I stand firm to keep this post up. They deserve a one star for treating someone they haven’t even met so poorly. I would hope other folks would steer clear from a company that would treat a Colorado native and a human being with such disrespect. I have noticed the other comments the owner has left for other folks with a one star review. Instead of asking the reviewer kindly why did they leave a negative review and how they can help to improve, they treated their customers horribly. I hope my story spreads to folks. Stay clear of this establishment and be kind to other people regardless if it’s a negative or positive experience you...

I only give this place 1 star because I cannot give it less. It was clear from the moment we walked in that the six of us were not welcome. The nicest way I can describe the woman who worked there is unfriendly. On top of this, their policies and pricing are completely uncompetitive with the other wineries in the area: it costs $5 to do any sort of tasting (other places give you a few tastes for free) and they won’t credit your tasting fee to the price of a bottle if you buy one. Bottom line: there are so many other good wineries in this area that want your business and treat you well. Skip this one.

Do not go to this place if you ride a bike. Gravel road to the winery and once we arrive (with 5 cyclists) we were immediately told to park our bikes further away from the building even though the parking lot was empty. Immediately upon entering the tasting room, we were told that we needed to show ID (we are all over 40) and that tastings were $5. I asked if this would be waived if we bought a bottle and she said there would be a 5% discount for 3 bottles purchased. There are many wineries in the area that are more cyclist friendly and have better customer service. Steer clear of...

Decent wine, very poor service. Requested to have all the wines poured during the tasting at once so we could try back to back and decide which we preferred, server refused as then she would have to wash 5 glasses instead of one. Didn’t offer a single comment on how the wines were made during the tasting. Didn’t rinse the one glass (since she refused to use more than one glass per 5 wine tasting) before pouring the next wine in so the flavors all mixed. Then, when we decided to get more bottles part way through our purchase to take advantage of the discount, she wouldn’t re-run the purchase to account for the discount. Very...
