Green Mountain West Trail is a wonderful mix of terrain and views. The trail is well maintained and easy to follow. You will find everything from fairly flat sections, moderate grades to natural stone steps up steeper sections.
The views are fantastic. Some sections of the trail give great views to the north and west for a grand panorama of snow capped mountains in late May. Then you come around a corner to look east and look down on Boulder and out across the endless landscape of the plains. On a clear day you would swear you could see Kansas or Nebraska.
