Kathline Rock — Attraction in Four Corners States

We are forever going to treasure this place! We first stopped here on our way to Hanksville, UT, where we intended to spend the night in order to visit Goblin Valley State Park the following day. After getting settled in Hanksville for the night, we came back to this vantage point to make night photographs of the Milky Way. Nice little stop along the highway. This charmingly retro roadside stop between Goblin Valley and the Henry Mountains is a wonderful location to view some of the lower forty-eight's last mapped regions. These include the Henry Mountains, Boulder Mountain, and Factory Butte, to name a few. It's a child-pleasing stop and a wonderful place to stretch your legs on long road trips across Utah. Interesting stop for a few photos of the rock formation as well as the view on the other side of the road where you can see Factory Butte off in the distance. I didn't find this rock formation to be particularly special so if you don't really have the time I'd say keep on moving. But if you're not in a rush then why not stop for a couple photos.
