So many nice hikes from here. Ore Bucket is a favorite to get to the aspen meadows. A bit further and you are along beaver ponds. The short hike to the waterfall is steep in some spots, but it is worth it every season of the year. Bring spikes in winter so the ice is not an issue, or you can bring those spikes to scramble down from the main trail - That’s what we did today. Very good workout, and got us to the top of the falls without wading up from below. Normally it is not that much water coming through. Shortest hike is less than a mile. Received a warning 2 days ago for “Illegal Parking” with a note stating “No Forest Access.” I spoke to one of the officers (very nice guy) and was told that about the complaints and that no parking signs were being made.
