Wow! Some things you never know existed until you drive off the main roads. This was quite a nice surprise and something unexpected. We were expecting maybe a stone monument, not really knew but once we walked about 1/2 a mile down the dwelling was amazing and the history of this place is something everyone should see. The visitors center is nice and small but has nice exhibits, a short informative video and restrooms. They have RV camping as well no hookups but the sites are beautiful and not right next to each other. The views are fantastic as well. Definitely take binoculars!

These are from around 1250-1300. The trail is good and we (two fat old people in their 60s) managed it. Wasn’t easy, but made it with no real stops except at the bottom for viewing. The visitor centre is well laid out and has lots of things for most tastes. A good zoom lens is a help to see the real details. Excellent visit. Take the time and enjoy. PS We saw mountain lion tracks in the snow around the edge of the track...
