Got to do this beautiful drive literally days before the snow came. Lucky us! GORGEOUS! The aspens were amazing and being able to track our ascent based on the fall color we were seeing was fun. If you are concerned about heights, there are many, I suggest you start the drive from the north going south. That will keep you on the ' inside ' ergo right hand lane and away from the cliffs for the majority of the drive. All that said, simply lovely vista's, many pull off points and completely worth doing. Lots of hiking trails at the north end too!....
Read moreI really enjoyed this inspiring hour and a half drive around Mt. Nebo, located just outside nephi utah. You can certainly count on seeing deer, cows, and maybe some wild turkey. That being said, I highly recommend traveling with day light. ( most the cows are black)
Cell service leaves shortly after hitting the campground area but returns when you summit higher onto the Mt.
The Elevation goes up a little higher than 9k feet at the summit.

There are plenty of stops along the way including scenic overlooks, trails, campgrounds, and rest stops. The only downside is there are no guardrails anywhere in the loop which makes me nervous to drive up the loop especially nearing the 12,000 ft peak. However, this loop still remains a family...
