A gem of a lake. Pretty secluded so you'll typically not see to many others here. I highly recommend a beachfront site so you can enjoy easy access to the water. Sites 2, 3, & 4 are my favorite as they are beachfront with closest access to restrooms and showers. The fishing here has always been some of the best I've experienced in UT. Make sure to buy green, garlic-scented power bait. The fishing setup is straight forward - hook, lead line, swivel, egg sinker, all tied to main line. Hook and power bait are about the size of a typical marble.

While at your site, you will not have phone service or wifi so you will be fully unplugged. To me, this is a good thing. However, if you need quick access to Wifi, you can go across the street to the small cafe and they have a guest network. This is about a 3 min walk away. Boaters can also fill up gas at the tiny marina that is close to this same café. The water quality has been really nice here with visibility down to about 15 feet. I especially enjoy the calm morning waters where paddle boarding conditions are perfect.

Finally, this has been one of the more dog-friendly sites and parks I've been to. Many of the campers here bring their dogs as well so in general, people here will treat your pups with kindness. If you are a dog owner, make sure to bring your leashes and pick up after your pups. I also like to bring a mountain bike because there are nearby dirt trails where I get to ride with my...

The fishing is hit or miss depending on time of year, weather and other factors (just like any other lake). More often than not the fishing is good though. There's a general store with a restaurant that rents small boats and pontunes (sp?). It's usually a pretty quiet lake, not a lot of speed boats and water toys which is nice. I've camped here once and it was one of my least favorite campsites of all time. Very few trees and close to a main highway. I recommend camping at Tropic Reservoir and making the...

Went here to get away for the weekend and never wanted to leave. A beautiful location with all the amenities. Very down home feeling. The cafe has wonderful food and great service. The general store had everything stocked that you might need. There are RV spaces and RVs for rental. I stayed in the cabin which was a charming little home that just made it so easy to relax just a stone's throw from the fantastic lake. If you want to get away this is the...

Woooow what an amazing coincident it was that i had some hours to spend there!! My friend recognised the she left her purse in bryce canyon, so she turned around in otter creek and i stayed there :-) Its suuuuper chill, amzing lake to swim and great for wateractivities!! I guess there are a lot locals who enjoy that is so calm, so the vibes are very authentic and lovely. Definitely worth to take a break there. PS. try out the cafe restaurant!!!

Actually we were at Otter creek RV park and Marina, State Park is next to it. We love this place! We get treated great every time. And the fishing. .... awesome ! And we will be back again month. Since my first post, we have been back many times. If you go there , be sure and say "hello" to Heidi the owner, and Jan, another super nice lady that works there. Boat rentals are available, but you can fish from the shore too.
